“Cassiopea Pagus Cerbaia” Rosato Bolgheri DOC 2017
Pagus Cerbaia refers to a prime small plot of sedimentary soils. This is where the small quantities of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon come from, which are partially fermented in amphorae and oak barrels after the harvest. Bottled in only a few hundred bottles, the "Selection Rosato" offers an intense floral aroma and beguiles the palate in a lively, cheerful way with a lingering spicy note and a wonderfully complex finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"This is very layered and beautiful with sliced-strawberry, lemon and peach character. Medium-bodied, it shows finesse and balance with beautiful fruit and focus. Crisp and dry. Fermented 50 per cent in barrel and 50 per cent in amphora." James Suckling

“La Grola” Rosso Veronese IGT 2016 · Artist Label “Hiroyuki Masuyama“
La Grola is the historic vineyard that gave its name to Corvina, the autochthonous grape of Valpolicella, which is probably its origin. The replanting of the vineyard by Giovanni Allegrini sparked an agronomic revolution and laid the foundations for the success of this wine-growing area, which today is home to great red wines from north-eastern Italy.
So it is not surprising that La Grola receives a special honour from its magnificent location. Since 2010, Allegrini has been collaborating with internationally renowned artists, publishing year after year a unique, limited artist edition. The edition opened with a work by Milo Manara, continued in 2011 with a label designed by Arthur Duff and continued in 2012 with a painting by Athos Faccincani. The composition VI by Wassily Kandinsky was selected for La Grola in 2013, and in 2014 the artistic journey went to Brazil and to Nazareno Rodrigues Alves, before returning to Italy with the 2015 edition to Leonardo Ulian.
The 2016 vintage was interpreted by a great Japanese artist: Hiroyuki Masuyama. In a highly innovative process, La Grola's Limited Edition ennobles the fascinating synthesis of overlapping shots. A total of 288 photographs are incorporated into this work, showing one of the legendary vineyards of Valpolicella from an exciting and completely new perspective. Time and space are the fundamental elements of Hiroyuki Masuyama's overall creativity: everything revolves around these two concepts, which have been formalised differently over the years and have become the hallmark of his work. Masuyama combines and overlaps the result of hundreds of photographs taken of his subject from a fixed angle. The result of this superimposition is another image of the same place.
We are pleased to be able to offer you some copies of the special edition, which is strictly limited every year!
Dense, dark ruby red, in the nose very full-bodied and strong with tones of forest and overripe berries. The rich fullness from coffee to black cherries is accompanied by present, pleasant tannins. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lovely balance, as always, to this super Veronese red with juicy dark fruit and hints of black chocolate. Medium to full body, succulent tannins and a fresh finish." James Suckling
"Very inky and toasty nose. On the palate the wine is elegant, fresh and poised with classy, well-integrated oak, flavours of plums and cherries and tight tannins, which will soften in time." Decanter

“Bòggina A” Sangiovese Val d’Arno di Sopra DOC 2018 (BIO)
The A in the name of the Boggina stands for the natural wine aged for about 6 months in terracotta amphorae of 400-600 Liters each, which is bottled in an edition of just 1,200 bottles without further addition of sulphites. Bright, luminous garnet red. The bouquet is ethereal, very delicate and nuanced, with a very precise fragrance interpretation of the Sangiovese grape. Medium-bodied, with a beautiful structure and authentic Sangiovese fruit. The finish is highly drinkable, with silky tannins and beguiling length. A masterpiece of beauty and elegance. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby with a slight garnet sheen. Opens with notes of herbs and anchovies, then lots of fresh plum. Shows lots of juicy fruit on the palate, grippy, savoury tannin, good assets, but needs additional maturity." Falstaff
"The 2018 Bòggina A (Bògginanfora) offers a striking expression of Sangiovese. Sweet red cherry, mint, orange peel and cinnamon all grace this silky, mid-weight wine from Petrolo and proprietor Luca Sanjust. The translucent beauty of Sangiovese comes through loud and clear. The Bòggina A (Bògginanfora) is 100% Sangiovese fermented and aged in amphora. What a gorgeous wine." Vinous
"The Petrolo 2018 Val d'Arno di Sopra Bòggina A is Sangiovese that has been aged in amphorae. The Bòggina A is pure and punchy in its fruit intensity, with chiseled aromas of wild cherry and dried rose potpourri. The wine offers very soft and subdued tannins, with the natural structure and staying power coming from the crunchy healthiness of the fruit." Robert Parker
"The purity of fruit here is impressive with cherries, plums and highlights of grilled meat and wet earth. Some tile, too. Full-bodied with chewy tannins that are pure and polished. Lots of fruit at the end, but not overdone. From organically grown grapes. Fermented and aged in amphora." James Suckling

Vermouth di Torino · in Gift Box
From the very beginning, Pio Cesare produced limited quantities of Barolo Chinato and Vermouth, strictly following a family recipe handed down from his grandfather. At the beginning of the 1950s, however, production was discontinued as tastes and preferences changed.
In recent years, it has been noticed that Piedmont lovers are increasingly longing for traditional character, strong personality and great individuality in aromatic wines and wine-based aperitifs. As a result, the decision was taken to produce small quantities of Barolo Chinato and Vermouth again, again strictly according to a secret family recipe, kept under lock and key for many years under the careful supervision of the grandmother, granddaughter of the founder.
In addition to absinthe, which is essential for the production of a good wormwood, it is refined with a mixture of 26 aromatic herbs such as marjoram leaves, gentian roots, orange zest and others, which are dosed together strictly according to the family recipe that has been handed down. Various white wines from the winery are added, including Moscato d'Asti. After 15 days of maceration, the wormwood obtained is aged in oak barrels for at least 4 months. Finally, the recipe is rounded off with the addition of caramelized sugar, which gives this vermouth its bright colour and unmistakable aroma and taste.
Connoisseurs enjoy it in the old "Piedmontese style": no ice, just a small slice of lemon peel. SUPERIORE.DE
"Thanks to its funky retro packaging, this is one of the most exciting projects to come out of downtown Alba in a very long time. The Pio Cesare NV Vermouth di Torino sees a base of Chardonnay enhanced with Moscato. (Like the estate's other fortified wine, the Barolo Chinato, only 1,000 bottles are released per year.) The Vermouth pours forth from the bottle with an orange or copper color. It is thick and viscous, taking its time as it swirls around the bowl of my glass. The bouquet reveals mountain herb and medicinal tones, with lots of mint and spearmint. There is some blood orange, citrus, licorice, camphor ash, vanilla and spice. This Vermouth is all fun and charm." Robert Parker

"Very perfumed aromas of plum, dried berry, cedar, and flower. Full body, with velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Love the texture and richness to this wine. Fascinating smoky undertone. Amphora gives it a life and energy of its own. No wood." James Suckling
"Bright ruby of pale to medium intensity. Warm, fragrant, almost burnt aromas and real texture and tension. The wine really does taste as though it had little bits of clay dissolved in it – but rather agreeably. Long and vibrant." Jancis Robinson
"Bòggina A originated in 2011, when Sanjust decided to ferment and age a portion of the wine in amphorae. The 2015 Bòggina A is a delicious rendering of unadorned sangiovese, its fresh red-cherry flavors brimming with vibrant acidity. Lean and taut at first, the wine fleshes out with exposure to air, evolving into darker fruit tones tinged with anise and fennel." Wine&Spirits

An infusion of chinchona (China Calissaja and Succirubra bark) is macerated for 21 days in a small quantity of classic Barolo. Then a mixture of aromatic herbs such as gentian root, rhubarb, cardamom seeds, sweet and bitter orange, cinnamon and other spices are added, which together make up the special family recipe. After a few weeks of ageing, a certain amount of classic Barolo is added. SUPERIORE.DE
"Only 1,000 bottles per year are released of the Pio Cesare NV Barolo Chinato, a fortified digestif that pours from the bottle with a dark garnet color and faint hints of copper and amber. This bottle takes you on a terrific journey into a favorite local tradition. Made with a base of Barolo wine, the nose offers layers of dried cherry and fruit, but perhaps the biggest aromatic influence here are those dusty mineral notes that subtract from the natural sweetness of the wine. That 16% alcohol content also serves to align your palate away from the fruit. Instead, you get medical herb, dried ginger and camphor ash." Robert Parker

“Kairós” Rosso Veneto IGT 2019
Kairós is the "little Harlequin" in terms of grape variety composition and is always produced in the years when its big brother is not. This is truly not a flaw, as it is an incredibly fleshy and juicy wine with an impenetrable, dark appearance, with its comparatively attractive price and above all its blend of four white and eleven red grape varieties. The bouquet is equally charged, almost voltaic, with rich layers of dark fruit that remain surprisingly airy and fresh despite the considerable weight and concentration. This is a wine of extremes, but there is no doubting its maddening drinking pleasure and the harmony it offers to the senses. One should be in the right mood, however, because only then does the eclectic Kairós blend offer an exhilarating and incomparable experience with guaranteed memory value. “Il Musmeci Contrada Caselle” Bianco Etna DOC 2019
White wines from Etna are always special and in a league of their own due to the usually very old vines, the extreme altitude and the usually minimal yield per hectare. When the origin of the Carricante grapes is the small parcel (Contrada) Caselle with mostly 100-year-old rootless bush vines (Alberelli), even connoisseurs can be excited. The soil, formed by centuries of volcanic activity, has numerous layers of minerals and salts, pumice, lapilli, fine and light ash. This distinctly rare terroir is particularly fertile and produces late-ripening, healthy, fresh and very aromatic grapes, despite the usually great thermal excesses during the summer season. Silvia Maestrelli produces just 650 bottles of this exceptional wine in good years, so you can imagine that we are fortunate to be able to offer a few cases of this rare vintage.
Il Musmeci Contrada Caselle delights on the nose with fresh citrus notes, refined by hints of candied fruit and delicate notes of smoke and toast. On the palate, it refreshes with a dense and vertical acidity structure. In the extremely complex taste, we find the characteristic minerality and freshness and a hint of almonds and iodine in addition to a racy sugar-acid interplay. Tip: Be sure to aerate before drinking and ideally serve in Burgundy glasses! SUPERIORE.DE

Marsala Superiore Riserva DOC 1985 ambra semi secco · 0,75l in OWC
Aged in the cellars for over 25 years, this magnificent amber-style Riserva pours from the bottle with amber intensity. This rare Marsala offers tremendous intensity with a bouquet strong with maple syrup, roasted chestnuts, brown sugar, caramel, dried figs, porcini mushrooms and spicy tobacco. In the mouth, you can feel the alcohol content, but this warmth is wonderfully absorbed by the fleshy intensity and richness of the texture. This wine is a quarter of a century old, but thanks to all the ageless fruit, it hides its age very well. This is a rather atypical "wine", but one that offers a terrific insight into one of Sicily's most important wine traditions. SUPERIORE.DE

“Didacus” Chardonnay Sicilia Menfi DOC 2019
Didacus Chardonnay comes from the first vines planted on the shores of Lake Ulm in 1985. It is dedicated to the founder of the winery, Diego Planeta, and on the one hand represents the history of the winery, on the other hand it stands for elegance, tradition, family and future. At the same time, it embodies Planeta's vision of Sicilian viticulture at the highest level.
This immensely complex white comes from the best grapes of just 4 hectares of Chardonnay sites, all hand-selected, pressed and fermented in barriques. With just 6,996 bottles, this drop is hand-picked and distributed to the best importers and restaurants worldwide.
straw yellow with golden reflections. Fine fragrance of herbs, white pome fruit, lychee and a hint of vanilla. Very complexly built, needs further bottle ageing until it unfolds all its elegance and minerality in a terrific long finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Limitation of 3 articles per customer“Troy” Chardonnay Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2018
Troy is not a normal Chardonnay. Rather, it is the archetype of a Chardonnay, as Wolfgang Klotz, managing director of probably the most successful winegrowers' cooperative in South Tyrol, sees it. The grapes come from two selected vineyards in Söll, near Tramin. Not only does a Mediterranean climate prevail there, but also quite cold fall winds at night determine the vegetation. Both factors ensure optimal development of the plants and fruits. The berries are handpicked piece by piece and it is therefore clear to every wine connoisseur that this is an absolutely prestigious project of the cooperative. It is therefore not surprising that only 3,000 bottles of this vintage are sold in selected specialist shops and top restaurants.
Intense straw to golden yellow. Tropical fruit on the nose, a hint of camomile and mint, then fine toasted notes and a subtle nutty touch. On the palate, you can almost taste the proximity of the mountains, its clarity, freshness and intensity: exotic notes of yellow ripe fruit, then again some nuttiness and in addition again a beguiling liveliness and minerality, which ends in an equally long final. Chardonnay can be like this, chapeau! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with a slight light gold. In the nose of ripe golden apple, banana, mango, light candle wax, pineapple, a hint of white chocolate in the aftertaste. Juicy, clear and radiant on the palate, opens with elegant melting and light cream, creamy course, stretches out in many layers, coherent in itself, long and deep." Falstaff
"Cedar and butterscotch nose. Bitter apple, roast-potato skin, chicory leaf and kohlrabi rubbed with sweet lemon. Dried oregano. Herb-nutty-savoury, as if the fruit had been sprinkled with za'atar. Lots here already, but I think this wine has a lot more to give, given time." Jancis Robinson
"Ripe orchard fruit, apricot and oaky nose. Lovely freshness on the palate with creamy buttery notes and some wood spice. Long finish." Decanter
"At once very fresh - Amalfi lemon! - and very toasty in the nose, this is an immediately appealing chardonnay with quite some depth. Really attractive interplay of northern freshness with Mediterranean ripeness. Buttery and refreshing finish that pulls you back for more." James Suckling

“Colonia” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2017
When you hear the story of the effort that went into the Colonia vineyard, you have to wonder if the fine people of Fèlsina are absolutely crazy. It took them two years to remove the imposing rock that had forced previous generations of the Poggiali family to virtually abandon this noble site. But it is thanks to the ambitious Giovanni Poggiali that this spectacular vineyard (Vigneto Colonia) became what it is today. It has reddish-brown soils, is rich in magnesium and iron, and is thus quite different from all other Fèlsina sites.
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is a wine of enormous beauty and depth. Dark ruby in the glass, it smells expressively mineral and pure, with aromas of dark cherry and blackcurrant. Mineral and graphite aromas and the simply terrific focus on the Sangiovese grape make it an incomparable masterpiece. On the palate, it is extremely well-balanced and elegant with optimally integrated wood - it is immediately clear that another top wine of the house has been created that is more than a match for the Fontalloro. Fortunately for those who can taste it, there are only 3,000 bottles per vintage. SUPERIORE.DE
"Shiny ruby with garnet glints. The nose shows emphatic earthy components of tobacco and red beet, then lots of raspberry. Full-bodied and hearty in the attack and course, shows lots of grippy tannin, also earthy notes on the palate." Falstaff
"Lots of cherry and vanilla aromas and flavors with a full body, dense and structured center palate and a long, flavorful finish. Shows blue fruit and dried flowers at the end." James Suckling
"Named for an ancient heliotherapy colony that once existed here, Colonia exudes its luminous location and stony, sunbaked, wild surroundings. Warm and generous with sundried tomato and cherry, grilled sage, iron and vanilla, this is unabashedly powerful while maintaining extraordinary balance. It absorbs its new-barrique ageing effortlessly, allowing a savoury, umami character to shine through. Ample dusty tannins coat the mouth but the finish is clean and energetic." Decanter
"Tasted young, the Fèlsina 2017 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia shows a darker color of fruit (compared to the lither and more delicate 2016 vintage that I tasted at the same time). Sangiovese grapes were naturally concentrated by the heat and dryness of the vintage, and the oak signature is more prominent here. I'd definitely suggest putting this wine aside in your cellar to allow for better integration. I kept my open bottle at 55 degrees Fahrenheit and tasted it again two days later. The wine opened beautifully to show rich and profound fruit with some of those earthy and dusty limestone aromas that are so specific to this labor-intensive farming site on a remote hilltop. The score you see here was adjusted higher after that second tasting. A mere 6,000 bottles were made." Robert Parker

"Sparkling, rich ruby red. Very intense and clearly marked nose, full of wild raspberries and blackberries, behind it cardamom, exciting. Substantial and dense in attack and course, opens up in lots of pithy tannin, rich, dark berry fruit, in the final emphatically earthy notes, after red beet and cocoa." Falstaff
"Lustrous ruby with orange tinges. Gorgeous nose of sour cherry and blackberry with blood-orange hints and notes of new oak all perfectly tied together. Focused and a little vibrant on the palate, elegant and succulent with long, coating tannins. Transparent finish." Jancis Robinson
"Sweet berries and dried flowers on the nose with sage and lavender. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins, yet these are polished and intense. Very structured and solid. Needs cellar time. Try after 2023." James Suckling
"I prefer this wine to Fèlsina's top-shelf Fontalloro. The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is irresistibly angular and tight, opening a profound view onto what makes Sangiovese so expressive and unique, especially when planted in the right territories. The bouquet is savory and almost sanguine with iron ore, rusty nail and baked clay. But there's plenty of fruit as well, in the form of wild berry and black cherry, that adds to the dimension and dynamic freshness of the mouthfeel. Give this wine time to soften in the bottle." Robert Parker
"The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is fascinating to taste next to the Rancia, as the two parcels are adjacent. Rich and substantial in the glass, Colonia is textured and ample, qualities that become increasingly apparent over time. Rugged, rocky terrain seems to amplify power, explosive verticality and acidity." Vinous

“The Wine Collection” Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2017 · 0,75l in Gift Box
With the 2015 vintage, the St. Michael-Eppan Winery began crowning selected varietal wines for the first time. Only 3,000 bottles of these top selections enter the global market each year.
Also in 2017, the choice fell on a single-varietal Sauvignon Bianco from the best grapes of selected micro-locations. Gentle pressing with 3 days of skin contact, followed by 12 months of fermentation in tonneau and a further 15 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks give it a unique depth and finesse. After another 9 months in the bottle, it is released for sale. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling straw yellow with green nuances. Very precise and intense nose, full of dark currant, sage and elderflower, to lie in! Shows a lot of present fruit on the palate, in addition juicy and salty, in the long final very clear and with good pressure." Falstaff
"Here I'm finding a refined and perfumed display with candied lemon peel, yellow flowers, sage, white smoke minerality and hints of vanilla bean. There's significant textural depth, silky in feel over a weighty frame yet contrasted by stimulating acids, showing balanced inner sweetness with an almost-ambrosia feel to its notes of ripe pear and subtle citrus. There's a density of primary fruit that can be felt more than tasted, as the 2017 Sauvignon seems to slowly melt away. Only 3,300 bottles were produced." Vinous
"A release of 3,300 bottles, the San Michele Appiano 2017 Alto Adige Sauvignon The Wine Collection opens to a luminous golden color with bright fragrances of white rose, jasmine, passion fruit and peach. This is a mid-weight expression of Sauvignon Blanc that reveals a beautifully smooth and silky mouthfeel. You could pair this generous white with dishes that incorporate Indian or Moroccan spice." “Eremita” Pignolo di Rosazzo Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2011
It is reported that the hermit Alemanno chose the hill of Rosazzo as his spiritual retreat in the year 800. Here, about 200 years later, the Augustinians taught the local population the principles of agriculture. It is also here that the Pignolo grape variety can be traced back to the end of the 18th century. Sensitive and low-yielding, it had almost disappeared by the end of the 19th century and was rediscovered and recultivated in Rosazzo.
In 1983, a massal selection of a biotype with characteristically small grapes in the shape of pine cones was planted below the wall of the Antico Belvedere. The material, which is available in very small quantities, is matured in second-age barriques, which tames the naturally strong tannins and makes the wine supple.
Medium, deep garnet red with dark reflections. Expansive, intense and extremely complex bouquet of dried plum, red blackberry, sour cherry jam and tamarind, carried by cigar box aromas, which are followed by hints of blueberry, rhododendron blossom, bracken, violets and elderberries. With further aeration then black pepper, clove, incense, cherry, coffee and cinnamon. On the palate, the exuberant, sheer overwhelming impressions continue with complex and spicy nuances. In addition, there is an impressive freshness and the typical, present tannin, which, however, never seems too obtrusive, but forms a perfect unity together with the great concert of aromas. With further aeration in the glass, one gets an approximate impression of the imposing fullness and complexity of an exceptional Pignolo, which is not without reason one of the terrificred wines in Italy and leads one on an unforgettable journey of enjoyment until the very last sip. SUPERIORE.DE
"A weird and rather wonderful red with balsamic, cedar, cherry and porcini aromas and flavors. Dried flowers and forest floor, too. Full-bodied with fine tannins. This was aged for five years in old barrels and then the rest in bottle. Fascinating. Chocolate and nutella notes come through. Only 1,000 bottles made." James Suckling

“Plinius” Rosso Boca DOC 2007
If you frequently participate in barrel tastings, you know that the same wine can develop differently in each barrel. So far so good, because usually it is only nuances that even out after bottling and further bottle ageing. In the case of the 2007 Boca, however, Christoph Künzli very quickly noticed that the wine from one of his barrels had a higher complexity and at the same time a youthful exuberance, which impressed him so much that he decided without further ado to wait with the bottling of this barrel. After a total of six and a half years, he then bottled a Boca that not only opens up new facets, but also represents the terroir in a terrific way like no other. The result was a wine that he dedicated to Pliny the Elder (23-79 AD), who first mentioned the growing region in his "Naturalis Historia" ...
Deep bouquet of crushed flowers, small sweet red berries, mint and mountain herbs. On the palate of great fullness and richness with a beguiling texture and an almost weightless style. It captivates us until the long final, its purity and balance is unique. Plinius (i.e. this barrel of Boca 2007) is a fascinating and contemplative wine that should be followed in the glass for several hours (or days), if you manage to resist for that long. SUPERIORE.DE

Limitation of 2 articles per customer“D’Alceo” Rosso Toscano IGT 2009
Vigna d'Alceo '09 is a Cabernet Sauvignon with a low proportion of Petit Verdot of the extra class. The bouquet is rich, clean and fruity. Impressive its harmony, powerful and yet with a lot of elegance. A perfectly shaped drop with the potential to increase in value! SUPERIORE.DE
"A super generous red with spices, meat and berry character. Full body with round and velvety tannins. Rich and generous. Gorgeous wine. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and petite verdot." James Suckling
"Bright, rich ruby violet. Opened in the nose with smoky-mineral notes, then plenty of plump fruit, inviting for elderberries and blackberries. It shows itself polished on the palate, opens with a lot of finely woven, rich tannin, builds up for a long time, a lot of juicy fruit, rich pressure in the finale." Falstaff
"The 2009 D'Alceo is quite a bit firmer and more structured than the Sammarco. An exotic melange of dark cherries, plums, grilled herbs, cassis and new leather emerges from the glass, backed up by tons of structure. Over the last few months, the 2009 d'Alceo has softened a bit, releasing expressive, floral aromatics and brighter shades of fruit. This is a wonderfully deep, resonant d'Alceo. The 2009 will drink well with minimum cellaring within the context of prior vintages. According to Luca di Napoli, the trick to 2009 was harvesting on the early side. Judging by this effort, I would say Rampolla nailed the vintage." Antonio Galloni

Limitation of 1 articles per customer“Zero140” Metodo Classico Alta Langa Riserva DOCG 2008 pas dosé
Zero140 is Enrico Serafino's most extreme Alta Langa and at the same time the most impressive Italian Metodo Classico we have ever had in the glass. It represents the pinnacle of Enrico Serafino's Alta Langa project and sets an undisputed benchmark in Italy's world of méthode champenoise sparkling wines in terms of finesse and emotionality (and length of bottle ageing).
"Refining a bottle for 12 years means having 12 vintages in your own underground cellars at the same time. How can you recognise them? How do you make the complexity of such a special wine clear? We have chosen to paint the lower part of the bottles with a different colour for each vintage produced, marking the beginning of the remuage rotation on the glass. Moreover, the decision not to use the label underlines the complexity of the wine. This is why, in addition to the capsule required by law, on each bottle you will find only the jewel that represents our logo or the detail of a fossil from the Piedmont Tertiary, an unmistakable sign of the footprint that nature has left in nature over the centuries.
And finally, the choice of colours. The quality of our wines comes from nature. That's why we chose to be inspired by the theory of planets and colours. This links the sun, the nine planets, the moon and Ceres (dwarf planet) with the different colours that exist: 12 colours that identify and distinguish the 12 vintages of ZERO 140, which are refined in our cellars at the same time. Starting with the yellow of the sun, we continued with the green of Venus, trying to represent life in colours. The current vintage is 2008, it received the red dedicated to the planet Mars." Paolo Giacosa, Kellermeister
Pale gold in the glass. On the inviting, deliberately delicately reductive bouquet, poached pear, peach with toasted almonds and baked bread. On the palate of warm, rich texture and a never-ending soft and perfectly integrated perlage, which only exists when the wine is given time to mature. A lot of time. On the palate, then, an unrivalled complex, balanced, buttery and creamy texture, elegant and intense, with an invigorating fresh acidity to boot, followed by a deeply emotional mineral finish. This absolutely exceptional sparkling wine opens the doors of Fort Knox (and others) in the blink of an eye. Happy the one who can call a bottle of it his own. SUPERIORE.DE

Limitation of 1 articles per customer“Sopra il Pozzo” Rosso Arcurìa Etna DOC 2017
Graci's third vintage, Sopra il Pozzo, is a "selection from the selection" and comes from the Arcurìa vineyard. It is the red archetype of an Etna Rosso, a Nerello cru with the clear DNA of the volcanic-stony terroir. Pale ruby with orange highlights, the nose has candied fruit, cooling firewood, some aniseed and herbs. On the palate, it is silky without being slippery, its subtle wood and delicate acid wire harmonising perfectly with the flanking tannin into an unforgettable, mineral-salty finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2017 Etna Rosso Arcuria Sopra il Pozzo lifts up with a captivating display that mixes rich cherry sauce and sage with dusty rose and hints of smoke. It’s silky-smooth, contrasted by bright acids and mineral tones, gaining further grip as a saturation of tart wild berries settles in. This tapers off long with a subtle twang of spiced citrus, wild herbs and sweet, sweet tannins. What a gorgeous expression of Arcuria, a vineyard on the northern slope of Etna that sits around 700 meters of elevation. The Sopra il Pozzo is a selection from within the vineyard that is refined for two years in perfectly integrated Stockinger barrels." Vinous

NA as in Nals, MA as in Margreid. A tribute to two outstanding sites where something special can be felt, seen and felt, and which have inspired cellarmaster Harald Schraffl to create something equally special from their grapes. A wine and essence that expresses the essence of the small plots in its purest form, whose typicity tells the South Tyrol of tomorrow, a timeless wine with recognition value in an international context. In 2016, this special marriage of Chardonnay and Sauvignon grapes finds its way into the bottle for the first time. NAMA is born - a cuvée of 85% Chardonnay, married with Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon.
Harald Schraffl describes the wine as follows: "The Chardonnay brings the power, the timelessness and the international length to the wine, the Pinot Blanc the regionality, the rootedness with our soil and our homeland, the Sauvignon the spice."
The vines for the Cuvée NAMA are between 30 and 40 years old. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand. After the gentle whole bunch pressing, the must is pre-clarified by natural, static sedimentation, fermentation and ageing in small oak barrels for 18 months on the lees. The grapes are then assembled and matured together on the lees for a further year in stainless steel tanks. The Cuvée NAMA is then bottled, where it matures for another year. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright elegant straw yellow with a tendency towards light gold. Great, inviting nose, multi-layered and compact, comes exotic out of the glass, after candied lemon zest, plus a hint of ripe pear, dried pineapple, a touch of fumé in the finish. Opens salty in the mouth, brisk without lacking complexity, rich pressure with a golden core, great, precise tension, very long final." Falstaff
"This is a dense and layered blend of 85% chardonnay with pinot bianco and sauvignon blanc. Yet, it remains agile and vivid with lots of brightness and energy. The acidity and finely textured phenolics frame the wine nicely. Hints of nuts and stones to the apple, pineapple, peach and mango character. Extremely long and vibrant. Some mineral and licorice at the end. This is aged in 320-liter new barrels for 18 months, one year in stainless and then another two years in bottle. 1,800 bottles and 50 magnums made. Sustainable agriculture. From three growers of the cooperative." James Suckling
"This is a new wine, and it's a big deal too. It arrives in special packaging, with a pretty wax capsule and numbered bottles (I tasted bottle number 0542). A blend of 85% Chardonnay, 9% Pinot Bianco and 6% Sauvignon, the Nals Margreid 2016 Alto Adige Bianco Nama is all about textural richness and creamy concentration. A heavy, environmentally unfriendly glass bottle underlines this theme, unfortunately; but this is no ordinary blend. The wine moves steadily and lazily over the palate, imparting ripe and solid aromas of honey, tropical fruit, vanilla spice and creamy custard. Its appearance is luminous and bright, and the aromatic layering is intricate and multilayered. This is a generous, full-bodied white with a lively and creamy finish that can be counted in long minutes. Here's a new discovery from Alto Adige to add to your cellar." Robert Parker
