"The 2015 Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Serpara shows much of that earthiness that you get in the regular Aglianico del Vulture (from the 2016 vintage) that I also reviewed here. However, this wine is more constructed and more contemporary, if you wish, with deeper layers of soft richness. Bold black fruit, plum and dried currant are followed by earthy tones, spice and that signature of volcanic ash you can always expect in wines from the Vulture in Southern Italy." Robert Parker
