“Bianco Secco” Veneto IGT 2021
A well-structured, fresh and downright mineral white wine from the Amarone nobility Quintarelli? Yes, you read correctly and you can be curious: straw yellow with golden reflections, fine hints of yellow fruits and apricot in the bouquet. Present, powerful and with a well-dosed acid structure on the palate, it spreads pleasantly and harmoniously to lead into a remarkable finish, in which a subtle honey note joins fresh, mineral tones. An exciting drop with the real class of a Quintarelli. SUPERIORE.DE
"An intuitive blend of garganega, chardonnay, sauvignon, trebbiano Toscano and others, with shifting percentages depending on the vintage. Either way, sauvignon’s exuberance lords over the realm aromatically, before hedgerow gives way to orange blossom and orchard fruits. A dollop of dried fruit imparts a gentle pucker, accentuating the easygoing, mellifluous finish. Fun drinking." James Suckling
"The Bianco Secco 2021 is sharp, floral and spicy, with lemon and grapefruit notes merging into peach and tangerine spice. It soothes the palate with soft textures as a tense blend of citrus and tart fruit builds under a hint of pretty inner flowers. Hints of tropical melon mingle with a pleasing inner sweetness as the 2021 finishes with admirable length. The balance here is beautiful." Vinous

A well-structured, fresh and downright mineral white wine from the Amarone forge Quintarelli? "Wonderfully floral, the 2022 Bianco Secco entices with a spicy blend of pine resin and ground ginger, complicating hints of nectarine and dusty florals. This is energetic in style, with a solid core of minerality contrasting a mix of tropical citrus and white pit-fruits. Zesty acidity maintains a lovely freshness as the 2022 finishes crisp and clean, with a sapid, lemony concentration that calls the taster back to the glass. The Bianco Secco is a blend of Garganega, Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Saorin." Vinous

“Primofiore” Rosso Veneto IGP 2020
Bright ruby with light rim. Finely herbal bouquet with dark berries and delicately sweet cherry compote, plus slightly smoky notes. Builds up stately in several layers in the drink, the very elegant tannin flanks the fleshy, red berry flavour finesse-rich and velvety into a complex, long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Primofiore, the under-the-radar gem of the Quintarelli portfolio, has been a favorite for many years, and the 2020 edition does a fantastic job of holding onto that title. A bouquet that mixes zests of citrus, crushed raspberries, peppery florals and ginger sets the stage. This is soft-textured, open-knit and supple, yet spicy as well, with gobs of tart wild berry fruit perfectly offset by a bump of zesty acidity. The 2020 even features a bit of crunchy tannin that adds a tactile feel to the finish, as sweet herbs mingle with hints of clove; yet the end note here is how remarkably refreshed it leaves the palate. This is the Quintarelli experience as a fraction of the price." Vinous

“Ca' del Merlo” Rosso Veneto IGP 2015
Rosso Ca'del Merlo is a refined cuvée of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Croatina, Nebbiolo and Rondinella. With its 7 years of wood ageing and its dark-fruited Cabernet style, it once again proves the great class of the house. In the breathtaking bouquet, peppery herbs and flowers meander towards a mixture of crushed blackberries and cloves. Silky and elegant on the palate, with a pure blend of wild berry fruits and sweet spices framed by a mineral acidity. Violet blossom resonates on the long and slightly smoky finish, which ends long and fresh with a tart hint. Power meets grace, and with tremendous style and breed. SUPERIORE.DE
"A fusion of Cab Franc, Cab, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and a spice of tannic Oseleta. A small part gently dried. A medium-bodied expression that stands out for its liveliness, its exuberant everyday drinkability and its spiciness typical of the grape variety. Blackcurrant, mint, sage and lilac, with a bouquet garni doused by a long meander of gentle tannins. Lively, juicy and powerful, but above all a real delight! One glass is not enough." James Suckling

“Ca' del Merlo” Rosso Veneto IGP 2016
Rosso Ca'del Merlo is a refined cuvée of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Croatina, Nebbiolo and Rondinella. With its 7 years of ageing in wood and its dark, fruity Cabernet style, it once again demonstrates the great class of the house. In the breathtaking bouquet, peppery herbs and flowers meander towards a mixture of crushed blackberries and cloves. Violet blossoms resonate on the long and slightly smoky finish, which ends long and fresh with a tart hint. Power meets grace, with tremendous style and breed. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ca’ del Merlot is distinctly savory in the glass, with a thrust of wild herbs that evolves into fresh picked strawberries and wet stone. This is a model of purity and balance, with brilliant acidity that propels its crisp wild berry fruits as violet inner florals collect toward the close. Further elevated by a hint of confectionary spice, it tapers off remarkably fresh and vivid, with a blueberry tinge and dusty tannins that promise a lovely evolution. This is a gorgeous interpretation of Cà dal Merlo. It's a blend of 80% Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, with 20% Cabernet and Merlot, with half of the grapes dried for two months and the other half pressed fresh after harvest." Vinous

Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2016
Alongside dal Forno's Valpolicella, this is probably the only wine from this appellation that redefines the character of this famous Veronese red wine in a stunning way and justifiably sets a benchmark that is unattainable for most winemakers in the region. Deep, dark ruby red in colour with scattered garnet-red reflections. A cornucopia of small red berries on the nose, plus sweet cherry, cedar wood and smoke. Firm, complex and multi-layered on the palate with an elegance that forms a masterful symbiosis with the impressive body. Produced using the traditional Ripasso method and, as always, perfectly modelled by hand. Magnificent! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2016 Valpolicella Classico Superiore is wild and exotic in the glass, with a spicy burst of citrus and hints of graphite that give way to crushed blackberries and incense. This is a juicy and vibrant interpretation of Quintarelli Valpolicella, with a wave of mineral-tinged wild berry fruit that washes across the palate, guided by stimulating acidity. It tapers off on a note of refinement, still quite mineral and classically dry, with a coating of fine tannins that add a pleasantly crunchy sensation. Since no Amarone was produced in 2016, the Valpolicella received a percentage of that fruit, propelling this beauty to the next level. " Vinous
"Elegance and great flavour tension in another evergreen of the variety. Blend of Corvina and Rondinella with Cabernet, complex and fascinating bouquet, jammy blueberries, hints of undergrowth, black pepper and bay leaves. Perfectly integrated tannins on the finish, fruity aftertaste." Luca Gardini

Limitation of 2 articles per customerRecioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2011 dolce
This exceptional Recioto (formerly "A Roberto") was aged for 6 years in Slavonian oak. Deep dark ruby red in colour. In the nose, a beguiling extract of black cherry, dried flowers and a fine spiciness, with hints of liquorice and mint. On the palate, the fruit is uniform, extremely harmonious and concentrated to the point. Notes of gingerbread, dark chocolate and black cherry glide into an almost endless finish with an unforgettable aftertaste. SUPERIORE.DE
"In the glass, the Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2011 is dark and rich. It smells of brown spices, cocoa and balsamic herbs, while notes of dried citrus peel and cherries develop over time. A pleasing inner sweetness greets the palate, with pure, silky texture and racy acidity maintaining a fantastic balance, while liquid mineral rock balances rum-soaked currants and dark chocolate. The 2011 finishes with traces of medicinal wild berries and liquorice, ending incredibly long and with an exoticism that screams Quintarelli." Vinous
"A totem of the region, a breathtaking Recioto created through six months of appassimentation and almost a decade in the barrel. It is reminiscent of chinotto, alpine spruce, bitter cherry, clove, mahogany and walnut shell, with a hint of something exotic like incense and Chinese medicine cabinet. The finish is incredibly dry, sooty and almost grainy, such is the precision of the tannin structure. Captivating gait, as if you discover a new needle in a haystack of overwhelming complexity with every new sip." James Suckling

"Dark ruby with purple hues, the 2015 Recioto della Valpolicella Classico is youthfully coy, requiring coaxing to evolve in the glass. Swirling and time bring forward a more savory bouquet as exotic spices, balsamic tones and hints of incense emerge, followed by dried blueberries and violet pastille. This is pure seduction, like silk draped across the palate, revealing depths of ripe black cherry and wild berry fruits, enhanced by a core of blood orange. Even at 70 grams-per-liter of residual sugar, it's hard to perceive the 2015 as a sweet wine. Its zesty acidity adds harmony, closing with a pleasantly bitter tinge and gently grippy tannins that frame the experience so well." Vinous

The Quintarelli family rigorously decides when the top wine may be an Amarone and when - depending on the climate and yield - the result is "declassified" and a small quantity is then named after the founder's nickname and released onto the market. Connoisseurs are almost waiting for it, because this extremely rare wine has it all and more than does justice to the founding father.
Strong, bright ruby red colour. Complex berry flavour with a potpourri of red fruits, notes of fig and a perfectly orchestrated orchestra of spices. Powerful and warm on the palate, with great harmony and depth, the well-defined muscles and a carefully woven tannin structure guide this balsamic red into a long, impressive final. With this outstanding quality, it really doesn't matter whether the wine is called Amarone or not ... Giuseppe "Bepi" would be proud of the result! SUPERIORE.DE
"There will be no Amarone in 2016; instead, we’re treated to a new vintage of Rosso del Bepi. This is dark and brooding in the glass, youthfully coy, with a bouquet of dried roses and violets. Complicating whiffs of incense give way to cherry sauce and dark chocolate. It's rich and complex yet also remarkably energetic, with a tactile mineral core that enhances its tart red berry fruits while hints of sour orange add a cheek-puckering sourness toward the close. The 2016 finishes with medium length and a chalky sensation, tapering off with suggestions of licorice and tangerine. This sexy and energetic Rosso del Bepi will win a lot of hearts." Vinous

Limitation of 3 articles per customer“Amabile del Cerè" Passito Bianco Veneto IGP 2012 dolce
This barrique-aged Passito is an absolute filet piece even for die-hard sweet wine connoisseurs and at the same time an exotic wine for the region. The Quintarelli family produces it handpicked only in the very best vintages, making it a real rarity and the small edition also, but not only, explains its price. Brilliant golden yellow with amber reflections. Candied apricot, peach, orange peel and a delicate honey note on the nose, rounded off with warm components such as sugar couleur, roasted almonds and rendered butter. Firm and ingratiating on the palate, yet retains its freshness with each sip, with great persistence and impressive, unforgettable length. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2012 Amabile del Cerè is flat-out stunning, boasting a seductive display of baked apple, fig paste, mint, spiced orange and hints of burnt sugar. It’s weighty and textural yet full of vibrant energy, as floral-laced peach, honey and hints of buttercream give way to candied citrus and a note of brown sugar. This is unrelenting pleasure and opulence in a glass, as layer upon layer of contrasting sweet and sour notes repeatedly thrills the senses. It lingers for well over a minute with hints of tropical fruit and florals. The Amabile del Cere uses the same mix of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Saorin as the Bianco Secco, yet it’s air-dried prior to vinification. It’s only produced in years when Quintarelli feels that the Bianco Secco is strong enough to stand on its own without the addition of the Amabile’s fruit. The 2012 should not be missed." Vinous

"The Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2015 presents itself with an unprecedented freshness. A beautiful blend of fresh cherries, cloves and cedar is complemented by rosy flowers. It is a model of purity, slightly salty in character, with crisp red fruits and sweet spice nuances. It is lightly textured and perfumed on the finish, leaving a perfect finish on the palate with a hint of minerality that lingers. The warm 2015 vintage is complex yet refined. Simply stunning." Vinous
"This is a sumptuous wine, with the gritty extract conferred by the dried fruit component, albeit, with greater red fruited levity, floral lilt, freshness and drinkability than the Amarone. A tight corset of tannins massages pithy red cherry, lilac, anise and a whiff of balsamic into a meld of graceful poise, effusive energy and joy. The crunchy length, contagious." James Suckling

Limitation of 1 articles per customerAmarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2017
A masterpiece of depth, tradition and elegance! This Amarone matures for around six years in the barrel before it sees the light of day in the bottle. The archetype of the Venetian royal wine presents itself as multi-layered and dense and of a masterly complexity. On the nose, dried fruit, dates, nuts, earthy notes and the fine flavours of dried sultanas. On the palate, this infinite depth is paired with an elegance and finesse that only the Quintarelli family can master. A red wine from a better world, where you want to linger longer! SUPERIORE.DE
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2017 is an absolute seductress and a dark beauty. It opens with a dusty bouquet of dried flowers and masses of cherry sauce, underscored by spiced oranges and hints of violet pastille. The palate is a model of purity, with crisp wild berries enlivened by tantalising acidity and a hint of dark chocolate. Crisp mineral notes emerge towards the finish. The 2017 lingers for an incredibly long time and remains completely fresh. The grippy tannins remain, while notes of dried blueberries and lavender linger throughout. The Quintarelli estate has worked hard to perfect a style that combines the magic of older vintages with a new level of freshness, and the 2017 is a big step in the right direction. Bravo." Vinous

"The 2015 Cabernet Alzero is loaded with varietal character, bursting from the glass with a dark blend of black fruits, savory herbs, pencil lead and crushed stone. This is velvety smooth, with juicy acidity to balance and a core of mineral-tinged red and blue fruits complemented by confectionary spice. It leaves the palate reeling with youthful tension as hints of blood orange swirl under an air of violet inner florals. Dusty tannins resonate throughout. The energy within the 2015 is off the charts and provides a perfect counterpoint to its internal intensity. Bury this one deep." Vinous

“Tre Terre” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2013
The name Tre Terre refers to the origin of the grapes for the Quintarelli family's new masterpiece: they come from the municipalities of Negrar, Marano and Sant'Ambrogio. Its style, with its more pronounced tannins, spiciness and tangy acidity, differs greatly from the winery's classic Amarone range. Red cherries and herbs come to the fore, and overall it has an astonishing minerality and objectivity for Amarone, which makes it more recognisable as an aristocratic Barolo than a more powerful Amarone. Very idiosyncratic in its interpretation, but with its rough edges as always in a class of its own! SUPERIORE.DE
"You said Quintarelli and you said Valpolicella, an Amarone with four quarters of nobility that has traced the history of the type from the vineyard of the same name. Nose of cherries in alcohol, notes of liquorice and mint. Spicy-salty tannins on the palate, very persistent." Luca Gardini

In the house of Quintarelli, each wine is given the time that is actually needed to later live up to the traditional name. In 60 years, thanks to his many secrets of success, the founder Giuseppe Quintarelli formed one of the most legendary wineries in Veneto. Since then, nothing has been left to chance. The commitment to quality includes every single step of production: from the vines to the oak barrels to the corks, the selected bottles and the hand-written label templates.
Giuseppe died in 2012 and the founder's considerable legacy is carried on today with the same passion by his daughter Fiorenza, son-in-law Giampaolo and grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo. North of Verona, narrow roads wind through the countryside to the small, well-hidden winery in the village of Negrar. A few hectares of vines thrive here in the best sites of the Valpolicella area on limestone and basalt soils.
The list of grape varieties planted is long, but yields are low: thanks to great skill, the Corvina, Molinara, Rondinella and Corvinone varieties produce outstanding Valpolicella Classico Superiore, unique Recioto della Valpolicella and particularly precious Amarone. For this purpose, selected grapes dry for months until fermentation in well-ventilated drying chambers (appassimento method) and thus experience a unique concentration of aromas.
The winery is considered one of the first to also use international grape varieties in the Valpolicella area and created great wines right away. In addition to the noble red wine selection, autochthonous white grape varieties such as Garganega, Trebbiano and Saorin meet a small amount of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc for the Bianco Secco IGP and the sweet Amabile del Cerè.
Giuseppe Quintarelli was a perfectionist in every sense of the word: the great "Maestro del Veneto" stipulated that his Amarone della Valpolicella should be produced only in the best years. His family says they are all obsessed with wine quality, and it is against this background that it becomes clear why these wines are still in a league of their own today.
Thanks to elaborate and largely manual production methods, the Guiseppe Quinatrelli family winery brings amazingly fresh, full-bodied and long-lasting wines to the market. This name is nothing less than the ultimate indicator of handcrafted wine of uncompromising quality, which of course cannot be missing from our portfolio. SUPERIORE.DE
