Luce is the wine icon of the eponymous estate and symbol of the harmonious balance between the elegant structure of Sangiovese and the fullness of Merlot. The wine marries the tradition and terroir of the Montalcino region and the personal interpretation of this extraordinary land.

Almost impenetrable ruby red. The bouquet is initially still reductive and relatively austere, which opens up softly and warmly with seductive scents of ripe berries, tobacco and leather with increasing aeration. The taste is concentrated, distinctive and tannic, yet silky and promising on the palate. The finish is long and deep with hints of coffee and vanilla. "Next to the Antinori, the Marchesi Frescobaldi is the most traditional wine dynasty of Florence. Their Luce is a blend of 80% Sangiovese with 20% Merlot, resulting in a dark, intense colour. The Luce spreads a super rich nose, reminiscent of old vintages of Fontodi's Vigna del Sorbo. This fat fruitiness can be safely described as sexy. Round, juicy and lavish, the Luce unloads on the tongue with excellent acidity, plenty of body and creamy texture.
