    "The 2017 Rosso di Montalcino La Caduta impresses with a classic and savory mix of wild strawberries complemented by notes of incense, sweet tobacco, leather and dusty earth. The textures are silky and rich, lifted by cooling acids and minerals with a dark display of ripe blackberry and plums. There’s a density and primary feel to its fruit that I find quite attractive, perfectly framed by fine tannins, as this turns classically dry through the finish, with inner violet tones and hints of currant lingering long. More like a baby Brunello, this is easily one of the most successful Rossos of the vintage, but it will need a year or two of cellaring to be at its best." Vinous
