    Syrah Toscana IGT 2016

    A long cherished vision of Elisabetta and her daughter Clara finds its completion in this crescence. This 100% Syrah builds on everything that the winery has achieved in recent years and for which it gained world renown. Best grapes, careful selection and a sensitive, clever and innovative vinification combined with a clearly recognizable signature and the already proverbial quality fanaticism.

    The grapes come from the two estate-owned vineyards Pian di Fiora and La Vigna del Palo. Pian di Fiora is the cooler site with just 5 hectares, the grapes are destemmed by hand and then fermented in 500l clay amphorae. The grapes from the east-facing vineyard La Vigna del Palo are fermented in open 500l barrels. The wines are then blended and matured in 300l barriques for a further 10 months before facing a further 22 months of bottle ageing.

    Intense, deep red with dark ruby reflections. In the nose fresh notes of red berry fruits and spices, hints of black pepper. The palate is complex, with gripping tannins, a fine acid wire and a wonderfully balanced body.
