    Villa Pillo

    Villa Pillo is a traditional farm and was established in the Middle Ages. The estate in the province of Florence, very close to the famous village of San Gimignano, extends over about 500 hectares in an enchanting landscape. Since 1989 Villa Pillo has been owned by the Dyson family, who also produce excellent Pinot Noir in California. John Dyson and his wife restored the wine cellar and planted new vineyards and olive groves. The wines are made from typical Tuscan Sangiovese and international varieties such as Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

    For many years Paolo de Marchi (winemaker and owner of the Isole e Olena winery) was a consultant at Villa Pillo. Villa Pillo owes its rapid ascent to him, and the freedom to pay attention exclusively to quality, regardless of all appellation regulations. The English oenologist Jonathan Rodwell has recently joined the Villa Prato. It considers that consumer success is only possible with consistently high quality at competitive prices. SUPERIORE.DE
