“Duelame” Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
"Duelame" is the successor to the popular "Etichetta Bianca". The name is derived from the word "lama", which in geological terms refers to a kind of blade, i.e. a cut in which the village of Lamole lies between two high plateaus. Fine aromas of cherry and blueberry on the nose and palate, together with a pleasant spicy note and silky tannins, create the perfect and delicate picture of a traditional Chianti Classico. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense nose with notes of dogwood, then notes of wild rosemary and floral hints of Idris. The drinkability is flavoursome and iodised, fruity and spicy impressions reappear." Luca Gardini

“Maggiolo” Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 (BIO)
From the 2019 vintage, the successor to the famous "Eticchetta Blu" is called "Maggiolo", derived from maggio (May) and giaggiolo (iris). The latter covers the fields in May with its flowers and floral scents, which we also find in the bouquet of this Chianti Classico. Bright ruby red in colour, fruity aromas of violets, mulberries, blackberries and blueberries as well as hints of sweet spices and cocoa. Very fresh and juicy on the palate, then the soft tannins envelop the pretty fruit centre and, together with a fine saltiness, lead into the medium-long finish. A wonderfully balanced and drinkable red wine from organic cultivation that certainly won't get old in good company. Drinking pleasure at a high level! SUPERIORE.DE

“Lareale” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 (BIO)
"Lareale" - the "true, genuine" Chianti Classico Riserva from Lamole di Lamole offers attractive aromas of black cherries and spices. The palate has plenty of depth; a slender body, velvety tannins and a beautiful texture right into the long, clean finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A core of black cherries and blackberries is the essence of this intense red wine. Notes of juniper, rosemary, clay and iron lend it complexity and it finishes long, albeit a little crushed today. Sangiovese and Canaiolo Nero." Wine Spectator
"The Lamole di Lamole 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Lareale displays medium-bodied concentration with plenty of blue and violet fruit intensity. This wine is particularly soft and silky in texture, and its finish appreciates the beautiful nuances of Sangiovese and the bright freshness of a cool growing climate. The finish is lean with dry tannins." Wine Advocate
"The nose leads with fruit aromas of cherry and strawberry, then turns savory and herbaceous with notes of tomato leaf, sage and oregano. On the palate, that tension between sweet and savory continues, with an earthy undertone anchoring everything. Acid bounces around firm yet refined tannins." Wine Enthusiast

“Vigneto di Campolungo” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2018 (BIO)
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto di Campolungo offers an interesting potpourri of ripe fruit, including blackberry, cassis and small wild strawberries, rounded off by a warm woody spice. Modern and polished on the palate, with a beautiful fruity centre, it is multi-layered, with plenty of pressure and length and balanced tannins as it progresses. The vines grow at an altitude of around 500 metres, which gives this cru a wonderful freshness and plenty of drinkability. Should gain in elegance with further bottle ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright cherry aroma with liquorice and star anise. Smooth texture, firm tannins, shows good typicity with good length." Decanter
"On the nose, the fresh sweetness of cherries and strawberries is balanced by the lightly bitter astringency of orange jam and fennel. The fruit sweetens and deepens on the palate thanks to a rich, full mocha flavor, but strict, imposing tannins and acid preserve order." Wine Enthusiast
"With flavours of black cherry, plum, chocolate and iron, this rich red wine impresses across the board. Fresh and refined, with velvety tannins that support the long-lasting aftertaste, while notes of eucalyptus and tobacco enhance the complex finish." Wine Spectator
"The organically grown Lamole di Lamole 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto di Campolungo draws its fruit from a long row of vineyards stretching from the hill of Lamole towards Greve and orientated towards the sunset. This wine is creamy and medium-bodied with blackberry jam, tarry spice and earthy orris roots." Wine Advocate

“Vigneto Grospoli” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2018 (BIO) · 6 bottles in OWC
Grospoli comes from the vineyard of the same name on ancient terraces, cultivated in the archaic form of the Lamolian alberello. The sandy soils of the Chianti massif, the constant exposure to the wind and the pure light create the ideal conditions for a lyrical and enchanting wine.
Bright ruby red. Impressive bouquet of violets and iris overlapping with notes of small red and black berries, aromatic herbs and sweet spices. On the palate, powerful and of excellent structure, very stimulating also its freshness and spiciness, which spreads into the long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Charismatic bouquet of cherries, blossoms and leather; juicy on the palate, vivid acidity that also enlivens the final, notes of red berries on the finish that round off the performance. Shows elegance." Vinum
"Rich ruby red. In the nose first after butter biscuits, then after juicy heart cherries, reminiscent of spruce honey, in the reverberation after raspberries and dried rose petal. On the palate juicy, radiant, shows great nerve in the course, long and with pressure, currently still young, will settle down very well." Falstaff
"A thoroughly delicious Chianti Classico with plum, bark and light chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with round, caressing tannins and a juicy finish. It’s all about softness." James Suckling
"This is a new submission from Lamole di Lamole, located in the mountains at the back of Greve in Chianti. The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Grospoli is a certified organic Sangiovese that shows medium-rich density, lovely freshness and consistency. This single-vineyard expression reveals clarity and linearity with focused aromas of strawberry, ripe raspberry and crushed mineral tones." Wine Advocate
"From a vineyard of good altitude, on a soil characterised by Chianti massif elements, a pure Sangiovese with notes of black raspberry, then marjoram and carob hints. The mouthfeel is brackish-sapid, with officinal return and undergrowth touches, density and crispness." Luca Gardini

The red grape varieties of this winery grow between the typical Tuscan villages of Lamole and Pile not far from Greve in Chianti Classico. From the terraced vineyards, visitors look out over the Chianti hills. Lamole Castle used to stand here, mentioned in 1480 as an important fortress. A high commissioner of the Chianti zone once lived there. Today, the renovated farms of the Lamole di Lamole estate are used to store wine in the 5, Liters wooden barrels that are common here and to produce Vin Santo. The winery is owned by the Gruppo Santa Margherita from Veneto, which also owns the Fattoria Vistarenni in Gaiole in the historic Chianti area.
Of the 141 hectares of woods, vineyards and olive groves, 50 hectares are used for grape production. The vineyard hills reach an altitude of between 350 and 700 metres above sea level, making them among the highest elevations in the entire Chianti Classico area. The wines from Lamole di Lamole therefore do not quite reach the power of those growthin lower altitudes, but they have a lot of finesse and a fine fruit.
By increasing the planting density from 3,350 (old vineyards) to 5,150 vines per hectare, the prerequisite was created for a comprehensive and strict clonal selection, which eventually led to the localisation of a branch called "Lamole" of the Sangiovese predominant on the vine hills. The terraced shape of the vineyards has a favourable effect on the photosynthesis of the vine plants, according to the farm manager Andrea Daldin. Since the 2018 vintage, the winery's production has been certified organic.
At the Lamole di Lamole winery, variants of Chianti Classico and Vin Santo, a honey-sweet wine, are pressed. Chianti Classico Riserva is produced from selected fruit. The best vineyards bear the names Campolungo and Grospoli. The grapes for the two Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, which are only bottled in good harvest years, come from these vineyards and have already been awarded the highest rating of "tre bicchieri" several times in the Gambero Rosso. SUPERIORE.DE
"Despite considerable size, the labels from the Lamole di Lamole estate can boast good personality and terroir character." Gambero Rosso
