The castle of Meleto stands in the middle of the enchanting Chianti Classico countryside, at the end of a charming avenue lined with cypresses and junipers. The estate covers an area of about 1000 hectares around the castle, of which 180 hectares are planted with vines. The main grape variety is Sangiovese, which is used to produce Chianti Classico, but Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah and other grapes are also grown. The dry and stony land consists of Latvian, Alberese and limestone marl. Here the grapes carry their best fruits full of fragrant and natural aromas. The names of the estates and hills recall a distant Etruscan and Roman history: Casi, Moci, Pieve di Spaltenna, Camboi, San Piero in Avenano and Poggiarso. SUPERIORE.DE
