Marilisa and Franco Allegrini dedicated this single-varietal Cabernet Franc from their own vineyards on Via Bolgherese to their eldest brother Walter, who died in 2003. The 2015 vintage marked the beginning of an even more radical focus on the terroir and the quality of the grapes. Since then, a third fewer bottles have been filled each year, resulting in a Bolgheri Superiore from their own grapes from the core zone of Bolgheri, which can hardly be surpassed in elegance and character. Compact and elegant Cabernet Franc with fine tobacco notes, ripe blackcurrant aromas, some pepper and eucalyptus, plus slightly earthy tones.
