    "The 2017 Granato is a dark, rich and powerful wine; but that’s not to say it’s international in style, which is a common misconception regarding this flagship wine from Foradori. Masses of crushed cherry, currant, blueberry, tobacco, exotic spice and black, ashen earth form its captivating bouquet. The density of its textures nearly hides the bristling acidity and mounting tannins beneath, as notes of wild berry, savory herbs and saline-minerality saturate all that they touch. This mixture seems to slowly melt away, leaving hints of violet florals and a tug of tart fruits. The Granato is sourced from the estate’s oldest parcels in Campo Rotaliano, some planted as far back as 1938 as pergola-trained vines." Vinous

    "This is really exotic with crushed berry, blueberry, blackberry, violet and sandalwood. It’s full-bodied and very layered with ultra fine tannins that are interspersed with beautiful, ripe fruit. The finish shows cherry, tea, bark and dried flowers. It’s very long and precise at the end. This needs at least four or five years to show what it has, but so beautiful already to taste." James Suckling
