"The 2017 Chardonnay Baron Salvadori Riserva from Nals Margreid is quite restrained in the glass. With coaxing notes of white peach and honeysuckle, orange blossom and vanilla bean come forward to form an understated yet remarkable pretty bouquet. It's silky in texture over a medium-bodied frame with flavors of ripe yellow apple and pear which are offset by stimulating acids and salty minerals. Hints of butterscotch mix with orange citrus on the structured and tension-filled finale, with just a hint of subtle oak lingering. There's wonderful balance to be found in this highly enjoyable Chardonnay that should excel over the medium-term within our cellars." Vinous
