The annual production of this boutique wine estate from Etna is just 9,000 bottles. At an altitude of 950 metres above sea level, the one and a half hectares of vines, divided into eight tiny plots, have been gradually bought up by the well-known oenologist. The area is planted with Nerello Mascale vines, which have been spared from phylloxera and make their way through the lava-covered terraces.

The single vines, which are on average 80 to 100 years old, are cultivated in the traditional, low-bush Alberello style, to which the wine also owes its name. Alberelli di Giodo is of extreme elegance and spiciness and represents to a remarkable degree the minerality and finesse typical of its volcanic area. SUPERIORE.DE
