Dreamlike Barbera, dedicated to the last work (La Luna e i Falo = Young Moon) of the writer Cesare Pavese. This wine symbolises the connection to the earth and to one's own origins. Dark purple. On the nose complex aromas of dark red, plump, juicy cherries, finest spices, plums and black forest berries. In the mouth polished, dense and with lots of fruit. Present but silky tannins, finely enclosed by the fruit, finesse-rich and persistent with a first-class acid structure. SUPERIORE.DE

"Dark ruby red with violet. In the nose with a clear use of wood, light malt, milk chocolate, then violets and wild berries. On the palate supple and with a rich melting, comes in many layers, then in the finish unfortunately a bit consuming due to the wood use." Falstaff

"Rather complex nose here with a black-fruit core that’s colored by a variety of aromas, from hazelnuts to clay-like minerals, violets and perfumed bark. The same complexity on the almost full-bodied palate with luscious, sweet-fruit flavors and a controlled finish with very fine, lightly firm tannins. Long, savory aftertaste. Nicely done. This is serious barbera that will age nicely for some years. Gets better and better every vintage." James Suckling
