“SOLCO” Lambrusco dell’Emilia IGT 2022 semisecco
Dark cherry red with violet reflections. Intense aroma of sweet, preserved Amarena cherries and sour cherries, with a delicate herbal flavour, very inviting. Sweet fruit again on the palate, embedded in a fine, sparkling mousse, long-lasting and fresh, with a lively acidity on the finish. A fine aperitif, but also a very good accompaniment to hearty pasta dishes. SUPERIORE.DE

“PIRIA” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2022 secco
Light ruby red colour. A small fruit basket with red berries and cherries on the nose, delicately floral with violets. Quite full-bodied, very dry with fine fruit and extremely fine sparkling mousseux, lingers for a long time, very finely balanced. The winery recommended it with tortellini in brodo - we can only agree, a perfect match. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright cherry pink colour. A little restrained on the nose, marzipan and cherries, needs time in the glass. Arrow-sharp on the palate, straightforward, precise, shows racy acidity and perlage, with crisp fruit, simply great!" Falstaff
"Imagine taking a perfect apple, distilling that aroma then adding lily and rose. These are the aromas of this wine. Light and fresh on the palate with a delicate perlage, the wine shows flavors of mixed citrus, tart strawberry and a flinty minerality on the finish." Wine Enthusiast

"The Lambrusco di Sorbara Sant'Agata 2022 has a beautiful platinum-pink colour in the glass. It offers a bouquet of wild flowers, crushed apples and ground ginger. The palate is washed by a creamy wave of tantalising bubbles that give way to sour citrus fruits and tart stone fruits. The zesty acidity cleanses the senses as the 2022 finishes a little short but impressively." Vinous
"Organically grown, this wine showcases aromas that immediately perk up the senses: crushed cherries, watermelon candy, violets and bay leaf. The driven palate with electric acidity pops with cranberry, lemon and strawberry tops finishing with a mouthwatering salty minerality." Wine Enthusiast

“RADICE” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2022 secco · MAGNUM
Out with the clichés, in with the surprise! Paltrinieri's most famous Lambrusco wine will also delight every connoisseur. Radice is produced using the Pét Nat method (Metodo Ancestrale) and therefore undergoes a second fermentation on its own yeast after bottling. This naturally cloudy, dry frizzante impresses on the nose with notes of rhubarb, a fresh citrus flavour and a hint of bread. The persistent, fine perlage and its drinkynature make it a racy accompaniment to savoury, spicy antipasti, light meat dishes or simply a lively celebration in the midst of nature and cheerful people. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lambrusco di Sorbara is simply an insider tip for real sparkling wine freaks. Paltrinieri vinifies his Radice undegorged as a PetNat. There is a lot of rhubarb on the nose and then this gentle, warm note of yeast. It is really dry on the palate and revitalises the senses with its fresh acidity. Rhubarb again, and a fresh note of yellow lemons. A real appetiser that makes your mouth water." Vinum
"Aromas of candied citrus, white peach and musk melon, followed by pie crust and candy floss. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a fine bead. Subtle flint minerality on the finish. Lively and aromatic wine." James Suckling
"The extremely elegant Lambrusco di Sorbara Radice 2022 is a pretty pink with orange-coloured reflections. It opens with a mixture of orange zest, tangerine and cracked slate. A silky pearl of bubbles unfurls on the palate, contrasted by an acidic burst of citrus, while exotic flowers and candied ginger nuances swirl through the nose. A subtle hint of grapefruit emerges in the crisp, refreshing final as the 2022 slowly tapers off. This Radice is a blockbuster. Savour it chilled for instant satisfaction, or let it warm slowly in a large glass with a bowl." Vinous
"A Sorbara vinified in purity as it has never been dared before, in a very relevant reading. A nose of wild strawberries and pepper leaf, with floral notes of iris, the mouthfeel is taut, savoury, with a fruity return and length." Luca Gardini
"This lightning bolt of a wine opens with aromas of tart red berries, ruby red grapefruit and fresh rose that pour out of the glass. The zippy palate continues the energy of the nose with flavors of sour cherry, pickled watermelon, wild mint and thyme all leading to a finish that seems to never end. Delish!" Wine Enthusiast

A vineyard with fifteen hectares of vineyards is almost ridiculously small in Emilia-Romagna. Nevertheless, Alberto Paltrinieri and his wife Barbara decided to continue the tradition of his grandfather, who founded the company in 1926. And yet to do almost everything in a completely different way.
Nobody dared to press a pure Lambrusco in the late 1980s. Then, a little later, to go one step further and select grapes from individual vineyards, as in the French "Cru" system. The two dared to do so, bet on the extremely delicate and in need of care grape variety Sorbara, and went to almost unbelievable lengths in the slightly hilly country between the two rivers Secchia and Panaro. Working hours like in a Mosel steep slope. To produce Lambrusco. The "bubble" that had just reached the low point of his image. They were called complete nutjobs. Who wants pure Sorbara Lambrusco, and that from a single vineyard? Absurd. You can't earn anything with that.
But quality prevails after all. And so it soon rained awards all the way to the coveted three glasses, the "tre bicchieri" of the famous Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso. It also brought reputation. Not only the Paltrinieris, but the whole region around Cristo di Sorbara. And slowly the wine world at Lambrusco no longer began to think of sweet dark supermarket sparkling wine, but of light, pink and above all dry Lambrusco, just a Sorbara. Fine fruity, with fine mousseux. In different variations, from Charmat pressure tank fermentation to the "Metodo Classico" spumante in bottle fermentation, as in Champagne.
The relaunch was a success that hardly anyone would have believed in. And one of the pioneers was Paltrinieri. The portfolio ranges from Bianco with Trebbiano and white fermented Sorbara to the red Solco from the grape variety Salamino and the pure Sorbara. Lambrusco Sorbara in purezza. Forget everything you've ever heard about Lambrusco! SUPERIORE.DE
