“Sopra il Pozzo” Rosso Arcurìa Etna DOC 2018
Graci's fourth vintage Sopra il Pozzo is a "selection from the selection" and comes from the Arcurìa vineyard. It is the red archetype of an Etna Rosso, a Nerello cru with the clear DNA of the volcanic-stony terroir. Light ruby with orange reflections, candied fruit on the nose, cooling firewood, some aniseed and herbs. The palate is silky without being smooth, its subtle wood and delicate acid wire harmonise perfectly with the flanking tannin until the unforgettable, mineral-salty finish. Only 2,300 bottles were bottled. SUPERIORE.DE
"Elegant berry flavours, also fine spicy notes, hot stone, chocolate; polished structure, balanced and perfectly rounded, the tannins fine-grained and well-integrated, supported by the firm acidity." Vinum
"A fresh and flavoursome Etna red wine with fine, firm tannins and crisp acidity. Bright redcurrants, mushrooms and lemon zest. Medium body. Crisp finish." James Suckling
"A graceful red, seamlessly knit and fresh, with aromas and flavors of dried strawberry and cherry, forest floor, dried thyme and mocha. This is fine and creamy, expanding on the palate while still showing supple definition from the taut, well-knit tannins. Long and minerally on the finish." Wine Spectator
"This 2018 shows an elegant cherry and petrol aroma with a medicinal touch. Intense, very tangy and fresh flavours of bitter cherry stones and subliminally sweet strawberries mingle on the fine, juicy and well-balanced palate, leading to a long, salty finish." Decanter
"The Graci 2018 Etna Rosso Arcurìa Sopra il Pozzo is a wine that develops in the glass. It unfolds with a sweet side that contrasts with a savoury or volcanic side. Sopra il Pozzo is a special site within the Contrada Arcurìa at an altitude of 650 metres. The tannins are well integrated and the bouquet is ethereal or almost fragile. This is a feature of this cooler vintage, and it may turn out to have a much longer drinking window than expected." Wine Advocate
"A beguiling blend of plum sauce, rum-soaked cherries, mint and balsamic spice makes the noble 2018 Etna Rosso Arcuria Sopra il Pozzo unmissable. It is a paragon of purity, elevated and refined, with textures of pure silk and pretty red berry fruit dazzling over a core of vibrant acidity. Salty minerals slowly saturate and emerge on the final, along with sweet tannins and a hint of violet pastille that linger on and on. The 2018 Sopra il Pozzo is simply stunning and should not be missed. It is easily one of the top wines of the vintage." Vinous

The Piero selection was created as a tribute to the work of Pierluigi Talenti, who has selected and worked the Sangiovese with passion over the years. A 1.95 hectare vineyard near the centre of the winery, with unique pedoclimatic characteristics, stands out from all other vineyards for its consistent quality. The gently sloping terrain is surrounded by woods rich in marl, with a south-easterly exposure at an altitude of 410 metres above sea level, where Pierluigi pursued and cultivated his personal clonal selection in the 1970s. It is a wine with an intense and persistent character, ruby red colour, fine and elegant tannins. After maturing in tonneaux for at least 24 months, it is bottled until it is released onto the market. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a dark, sparkling centre. Open-hearted and inviting on the nose, blackberry, plum, black cherry, a mix of sealing wax and almonds on the finish. Exciting on the palate, on strawberry candy, creamy fruit, with grippy tannins, plus fine ferrous tones, keeps coming back in the mouth, still needs some time." Falstaff
"A vibrant red, whose vivid acidity propels rose, kirsch, raspberry and mineral aromas and flavors to a lingering conclusion. This is sleek and balanced, with a graceful feel and a long, fruit- and mineral-infused aftertaste." Wine Spectator
"Deep, shiny ruby red with bright orange-coloured reflections. A little closed on the nose, more spicy than fruity and with just a hint of spicy oak. Lively, deep sour cherry palate with plenty of body and impeccable balance. Long, gravelly tannins and tangy cherry fruit with just the right touch of oak. Will age gracefully." Jancis Robinson
"Attractive flavours of crushed berries, cherries and bark follow through to a medium body, with lovely fruit and lively acidity. Balanced and delicious already, but may improve with age." James Suckling
"The Talenti 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Piero is a wine with plenty of fruit and muscle. It has a heady bouquet with glowing spices, stewed cherries and cured tobacco delivered in generous waves and rich volume. The wine's personality is ultimately revealed as strong and simple, and in my opinion these adjectives hit the nail on the head. Thanks to its velvety tannins, it offers smooth transitions and is quite full-bodied on the finish." Wine Advocate
"This Auslese comes from a two-hectare vineyard at an altitude of 410 metres with rocky sandstone on the surface. Riccardo Talenti says that he always produces the best fruit from the vineyard, regardless of the conditions. Aged in tonneaux, Piero opens with intense coffee flavours that mingle with spicy notes of cloves and nutmeg. On the palate, it develops a sweet and sour character, while suede permeates the dark, fleshy red cherry. The tannins are grainy and substantial, but ripe, and it cries out for a few more years to develop." Decanter
"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Piero is not to be missed. It blossoms slowly with a tantalising blend of spicy blackberries, violet pastille and orange zest. It impresses with its lively, ripe wild berry fruit and juicy acidity. Tactile mineral tones add contrast, and rosy inner flowers emerge towards the end. The 2019 lingers incredibly long and takes on a savoury note, while the palate lingers with a savoury tension, even as the fine tannins grip the senses. The Piero is already showing such extravagance and balance. It will be an exciting Brunello to follow over the next two decades." Wine Advocate

NA for Nals, MA for Margreid. A tribute to two outstanding vineyards where something special can be felt, seen and felt and which have inspired cellar master Harald Schraffl to create something equally special from their grapes. A wine and the essence that expresses the essence of the small plots in its purest form, whose typicity tells the story of the South Tyrol of tomorrow, a timeless wine with recognition value in an international context.
The Chardonnay vines for NAMA are between 30 and 40 years old. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand. After gentle whole-cluster pressing, the must is pre-clarified by natural, static sedimentation, fermented and matured in small oak barrels on the lees for 18 months. The wine is then matured for a further year on the lees in stainless steel tanks and a further year in the bottle. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Chardonnay Nama is rich yet understated, with almond custard and white flowers emphasising the young peach. With a deep texture and an almost oily feel, it swirls across the palate in a silky wave, presenting ripe orchard fruit and mineral tones. The 2020 rejuvenates with medium length and youthful tension, leaving notes of chamomile and spice that linger." Vinous
"Packaged in a special white case, the 2020 Nama is a viscous and thick white that is packed with sweet peach, honey and baked apple. This wine is really all about mouthfeel thanks to a creamy texture and sweet fruit flavors. It offers an especially long and silky finish. I love this wine. I love the way it hits your palate, and I love its smooth, silky finish. With only 2,000 bottles made, it won't be easy to find." Wine Advocate

Silvia Vannucci's new Riserva flagship Uva dei Colombi comes from a selection of vines from the Piaggia vineyard, all of which were planted in 1972. Only 1,000 bottles were produced. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Carmignano Riserva Uva dei Colombi 2019 seduces with a bouquet of dried flowers and ash stone that fades into mentholated herbs and blackcurrants. Silky and refined, it reveals a core of tart wild berries and sour oranges, motivated by zesty acidity, while mineral and savoury herbal tones build towards the finish. It finishes with impressive length and concentration, but is not overly structured. Round tannins frame the experience nicely without slowing the momentum. This is a great new Carmignano Riserva from Piaggia that will age beautifully on balance alone." Vinous

Barolo Rocche di Castiglione DOCG 2017
"Bright ruby red with bright orange reflections. In the nose wild mushrooms, black and even some white truffle, plus rosehip tea, red currant and blackberry. Freshly ground pepper and crushed juniper provide spice and plenty of ethereal aromas. Clear, bright and precise on the palate. The fruit comes out much more clearly now. Totally juicy and fortunately flanked again and again by the acid structure. Invigorating, animating to drink and slender. The fruit now appears small-berried and positively acidic on the palate. The initially earthy aromas only have a subordinate effect in the finish. The show clearly belongs to sour cherry, lovage and blackberry. Iodiney, almost salty and with a fleshy character, it makes you want more. This is pure umami." Marian Henß (Sommelier)
"The 2017 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is silky and polished from the start. Nevertheless, there is a lot of depth behind the elegant façade. Juicy red fruits, spices, tobacco, cedar, leather and dried flowers combine in a sensual, lush Barolo that captures the essence of Rocche." Vinous
"A juicy red wine with aromas and flavours of soaked cherries, raspberries and plums. It gains depth with accents of flowers, earth and wild herbs as it transitions into a long, delicious finish. Skilfully balanced and persistent on the finish." Wine Spectator
"Roagna has its modern winery, with most of the structure underground, at the foot of the Castiglione Falletto village at the center of the appellation. Made with fruit grown around the corner, the 2017 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione (with 2,680 bottles released) offers a sharp and linear presentation with crisp berry fruit, crushed stone, rose and licorice root. This is one of the most expressive vineyard sites in the appellation, I find. The wine ferments in oak over two months with submerged cap and then ages for five long years in a combination of oak cask and cement." Wine Advocate

Barolo Rocche di Castiglione DOCG 2018
Barolo Rocche di Castiglione comes from a parcel just above the Cascina Pira of Roagna. It offers a captivating blend of supple fruit, soaring flavours and structure. The 2018 is silky and sensual through and through, as wines from this vineyard tend to be. It is transparent, beguiling and mesmerising from the very first sip. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with light, orange-coloured reflections. Forest mushrooms, black and even a little white truffle on the nose, plus rosehip tea, redcurrant and blackberry. Freshly ground pepper and crushed juniper provide spice and plenty of ethereal flavours. Clear, bright and precise on the palate. The fruit is now much more prominent. Totally juicy and fortunately always flanked by the acidity structure. Invigorating, drinkable and lean. The fruit now appears small-berry and positively acidic on the palate. The initially earthy flavours are only of secondary importance in the finish. The show clearly belongs to sour cherry, lovage and blackberry. Iodised, almost salty and with a fleshy character, it leaves you wanting more. This is pure umami." Marian Henß (Sommelier)
"The 2018 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is very tightly wound at this stage. Sweet dried fruit, leather, tobacco, spices and leather are beautifully interwoven. Here, too, the flavour profile tends towards dried rather than fresh fruit. Annoying tannins add freshness and energy that prolong the finish. This is a particularly flavoursome, earthy vintage. It is also a wine that needs time to develop." Vinous
"Light on its feet and featuring cherry, strawberry and menthol flavors, this red is racy and laced with fine-grained tannins, while its harmonious, refined texture lends finesse and class. Ends with a vein of minerality." Wine Spectator

“Roccolo” Ludwig Barth von Barthenau Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC 2017 · 0,75l in OWC
At the end of the 19th century, Ludwig Barth, a university professor with a love of wine, built the estate of the same name in Mazon and planted the Pinot Noir grape there for the first time, with success, as it turned out. The year 2016 was very good for Pinot Noir and for the Roccolo vineyard at Ansitz Barthenau on the Mazon plateau. Particularly rich grapes from vines that are more than 70 years old and tend to grow on the traditional pergola were to be reserved for a new top wine. They were harvested separately, pressed separately and matured in small oak barrels and are only made into the single-vineyard wine "Roccolo" in the best vintages.
It convinces with its smooth, filigree acid structure, the backbone of every Burgundy. Martin Foradori's "Burgundy instinct" had pointed him in the right direction; working late into the evening had paid off. A top-class Pinot Noir now enriches the estate's Pinot Noir range - from the outstanding site of the Mazon plateau. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2017 Pinot Nero Vigna Roccolo takes its time opening in the glass, at first blowing off some youthful reduction, then delivering a gorgeous mix of dried strawberries and roses in an air of crushed stone. The textures are unreal, silky and soothing, yet deep, ushering in masses of ripe red berries and sweet spices. This leaves a saturation of primary concentration while tapering off with grippy tannins, yet still, it’s remarkably fresh. The warmth of the vintage has imparted this with a powerful boost of intensity, but I’m loving it. The 2017 succeeds through its lively acidity. " Vinous

“Annamaria Clementi” Franciacorta Cuvée Rosé DOCG 2015 extra brut
The pure Pinot Nero Franciacorta Annamaria Clementi Rosé is bright pink in colour with delicate amber tones. It beguiles the senses with a subtle bouquet of dried strawberries and zesty citrus fruits, contrasted by the richness of raw almonds and sweet white smoke. It is silky and supple, with a slowly rising structure, yet still manages to surprise with notes of apple and savoury spices, which are then enlivened by a juicy acidity. There is a lingering inner sweetness that mingles with an aftertaste of concentrated red forest berries that lingers for over a minute. One of Italy's greatest sparkling wines! SUPERIORE.DE
"A salmon-orange colored sparkling with inviting aromas of dried flowers, honey, grapefruit, hazelnuts and gingerbread. Hints of cloves, too. Firm, driven and dry, with excellent structure and weight and tight bubbles. Long, spicy and almost chewy finish. Might even be better in a few years when it has softened." James Suckling

Schiena d'Asino is a small vineyard from which this fabulous Brunello is produced exclusively in excellent years. Schiena captivates with its richness and overall intensity and is endowed with a lot of energy and varietal purity. Sage, rosemary and a host of Mediterranean herbs open up first, followed by graphite, smoke, incense, dark spices and black stone fruits. Wild, intensely mineral notes underpin the fruit and capture the essence of the great site. For an exceptional wine, this Brunello remains remarkably light on its feet, yet it is an introspective, brooding wine that will need at least a few years to show all it has to offer. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, rich ruby garnet. Finely marked nose with notes of rose petals, some raspberry, fine spice in the background. Builds up richly on the palate, dark berry fruit, opens with grippy, dense tannin, still shows itself very young." Falstaff
"Developing mid ruby. Brooding and intense on the nose with hints of graphite and filled out by oak. Full mouth of juicy, spicy cherry fruit framed by bags of delicious, chewy tannins. Very long and deep and gorgeously balanced. Tactile fireworks. Ready now but will hold." Jancis Robinson
"A historic vineyard for the denomination and for the winery, which returns in a version of great concentration, aged in Alliers oak. Nose of wild plum, with touches of Mediterranean scrub and chinotto. Mouth with savory-salty tannins, finish with fruity return." Luca Gardini
"This is structured and muscular, yet in a toned and polished way. It’s full-bodied with a linear and racy nature, showing focused black-cherry, orange-peel and berry character. Flavorful and extremely long. Better after 2024." James Suckling
"Forest floor, violet and camphor aromas come to the forefront along with whiffs of toasted nut on this full-bodied red. It's elegant and structured, featuring dried cherry, tobacco and licorice framed in tightly knit, fine-grained tannins, while fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Give it time to fully develop." Wine Enthusiast
"A lithe, focused red, evoking strawberry, cherry, currant, spice and tobacco flavors. Shows intensity and grip, with accents of leather and licorice chiming in on the finish. Well-structured and lingers on the chalky, mineral aftertaste." Wine Spectator
"Planted in 1978, the 1.2ha Schiena d’Asino plot boasts a southeast to southwest exposition reaching almost 400 metres above sea level on stony, clay soil. Long ageing in 16-hectolitre French oak casks is followed by a year in bottle before release. The 2016 surfaces from its shell slowly and beguilingly, bestowing dried lavender, sage blossom and mint with a heady suggestion of truffles. The rich, dark red-fruited palate is framed by sandy, dusty tannins. Some heat rises on the mid-palate but is soaked up by plush layers, finishing on a salty liquorice note." Decanter
"The late-release 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Schiena d'Asino captivates with a display of sweet smoke and crushed stone giving way to dusty black raspberry and savory herbs. It’s silky-smooth and cool-toned, peppering the senses with mineral-tinged woodland berries and hints of spice. Grippy tannins build toward the close, saturating the palate beneath red inner florals. This tapers off with heroic structure but also the primary fruits to balance. The 2016 Vigna Schiena d’Aine is a dark stallion of a Brunello that's packed full of potential." Vinous
"The Mastrojanni 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Schiena d'Asino (with only 6,000 bottles made) is a joy. This classic 2016 vintage was extremely kind to Sangiovese, but not all producers were able to harness this level of varietal purity, elegance and sheer energy. This soulful wine is indeed best characterized by its inner electricity. The "donkey's back," or Schiena d'Asino, is a special vineyard site where grapes enjoy long sun hours and cool nighttime temperatures." Wine Advocate

Barolo Riserva Bussia Vigna Colonnello shows its noble lineage in a delicate and restrained way. The bouquet is very complex with a long succession of fascinating aromas ranging from pressed flowers to wild berries and exotic spices. These elements are brought together with extreme precision. In the mouth, the wine shows a hint of acidity, but it also moves across the palate with silky intensity and firm texture. Gentle, infinitely long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lots of purple flowers on the nose, then a burst of bright red fruit, such as wild strawberries, raspberries and orange notes on the palate, together with a hint of spicy vanilla. Medium to full body with fine, still lightly firm tannins. Elegant feel. Very good now, but will improve with another year in bottle." James Suckling
"The 2015 Barolo Riserva Bussia Vigna Colonnello is a wild, eccentric wine. The use of whole clusters lends quite a bit of savory intensity. Sage, tobacco, holiday spicecake, cedar, blood orange and macerated cherry all develop with a bit of aeration. The tannins just need to soften. If they do this could be a very intriguing wine, but slight hints of oxidation make it hard to understand the direction the 2017 is headed in. No matter what, the Colonnello is a pretty exotic Barolo with a lot of character." Vinous

“LUX VITIS” Toscana IGT 2019
LUX VITIS comes from Cabernet Sauvignon vines over 12 years old and contains a small amount of Sangiovese. The 2019 vintage is rich and powerful, with full intensity. A core of dark cherries and blackberries on the palate, framed by sweet spices, bitter chocolate and campfire embers. As with the other wines in the Tenuta Luce portfolio, oak spice and tannins play an important role in the basic style expressed here. Only 6,600 bottles were produced. LUX VITIS will reveal its true treasure only with years of ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"A rich and layered cabernet sauvignon with juicy fruit and lots of currant and berry aromas, as well as hints of spices. Full-bodied and flavorful with freshness and brightness at the end." James Suckling
"The Tenuta Luce 2019 Lux Vitis opens to an inky dark appearance with pressed blackberry, sweet cinnamon and cumin. There is some oak astringency on the tannins that will relax in time. Otherwise, this is a richly textured and concentrated red wine to drink on a cold winter evening by an open fire. The wine is almost full-bodied, but it actually feels more streamlined on the close." The year 2016 was very good for Pinot Noir and for the Roccolo vineyard at Ansitz Barthenau on the Mazon plateau. Particularly rich grapes from vines that are more than 70 years old and tend on the traditional pergola were to be reserved for a new top wine.
"The 2016 Pinot Nero Vigna Roccolo is understated and coy in the glass, as dusty rose and dried cherries are complemented by nuances of clove. This is elegant and polished in feel, with a wonderful balance of acids and minerals that frame its dark red fruits and inner spices quite nicely. There's a power that lurks beneath the surface, as notes of licorice and fine tannins linger incredibly long. This is a Pinot for the cellar and has the balance to go a decade or more." Vinous

“Buri” Merlot Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2020
Crème de cassis, graphite, smoke, new leather, spices and blackberry jam are some of the many notes that the Merlot Buri develops. Rich, multi-layered and creamy on the palate, it radiates remarkable depth. Nevertheless, it is less tannic and over-concentrated than in the past. Dark and of impressive finesse as it progresses. Limitation of 1 articles per customer“San Lorenzo Piano delle Colombe” Rosso Etna DOC 2020
Giuseppe Russo cultivates part of the 12-hectare San Lorenzo vineyard at an altitude of around 750 metres on the slopes of Mount Etna near Randazzo. The lava flows of recent decades have created a porous soil here, rich in volcanic rock and therefore providing excellent drainage. SUPERIORE.DE
"Piano delle Colombe is a 100% Nerello Mascalese from vines over 80 years old that grow on a small plot in San Lorenzo. Fermented in small open vats and matured for 18 months in a Liters oak barrel and a used barrique, it is balsamic and earthy with some ripe red and black berry aromas. Juicy, intense and savoury, its subtle, grippy tannins envelop tangy blackberries, pomegranate and a fresh herbal finish." Decanter
"This wine shows lots of crisp and fresh red fruit mixed with dried Mediterranean herbs, orange peel and hibiscus. Also some smoky, dusty earth tones. Medium body. Very consistent and persistent on the palate with crisp acidity and a chalky, mineral backbone. Consistent and long finish." James Suckling
"The Girolamo Russo 2020 Etna Rosso San Lorenzo Piano delle Colombe is more approachable compared to the 2019 vintage. It is a beautiful wine with fine fibre and delicate fruity notes of wild berries, gravel and white pepper. The 2020 vintage shows the supreme elegance of Etna." Wine Advocate

Limitation of 1 articles per customerTerlaner Weißburgunder Alto Adige DOC 2010 Rarità
The choice of grape variety and vintage for the Cantina Terlan inery's rarity wine are secrets that are closely guarded for a long time - until just a few weeks before the official presentation. In spring 2023, Cantina Terlan Winery traditionally presented its new strictly limited rarity wine. The winery management decided on the Pinot Bianco 2010. The Pinot Blanc 2010 is the eleventh rare wine to be stored under the expert direction of Kofler.
Light, bright straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections. Impressively fresh on the nose - herbal notes of camomile, lemon balm and lovage as well as a hint of dried persimmon and apricot. At the same time, the multi-faceted bouquet also has a scent of bread crust and yeast plait paired with a subtle flint aroma. Smooth and powerful on the palate with a crisp, fresh acidity that nevertheless leaves a delicate impression and ideally complements the mineral tension. The finish is silky and elegant but at the same time enormously powerful and deep. SUPERIORE.DE
The rarity wine symbolises Terlan's longevity: "A speciality of the Cantina Terlan are the rarities, special bottlings of mature white wines that have been stored for at least ten years on the fine lees in steel pressure tanks. The youthful freshness that characterises this Pinot Blanc despite its mature age is particularly impressive, making it perfect for longer ageing in the bottle. Terlan has the terroir to produce great white wines and skilfully demonstrates this with these rarities." Rudi Kofler, Kellermeister
"Bright straw yellow with clear green nuances. Rich nose with beguiling notes of beeswax, mango, some baby pineapple and flint. Creamy and balanced on the palate, opens with fine ripe fruit notes, good tension, salty, delicate brioche notes on the final." Falstaff
"The Pinot Bianco Rarity 2010 is a prime example of purity. Its bouquet impresses with a brilliant blend of white peach and tropical citrus fruit, perfectly balanced by an enriching note of almond paste and sweet butter. The palate is supple and round, but with an incredible energy that combines ripe fruit trees with a zesty citrus note. The 2010 finishes with impressive length, leaving a hint of minerality under a hint of flowers. What a beauty that still has many years of development ahead for patient collectors." Vinous
"Rich and complex Pinot Bianco with notes of sliced mango, glazed peaches, honeysuckle, pastry crust and beeswax. Full-bodied, dense and concentrated with rich candied fruit, refreshed with bright acidity. It is complex and structured with a certain tension. Long finish. A unique white wine." James Suckling
"Stylish and restrained lychee, apricot kernel, vibrant citrus and rosebud are accompanied by a lifted, sparkling structure; lively, polished and savoury. It is not easy to describe the filigree and sober elegance of wines like this, but it should be considered one of the best Italian white wines. 2010 is the new edition of the 100% Pinot Bianco, Rarity. It undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then matures on the lees in large wooden barrels for 12 months, followed by further maturation on the lees in steel tanks without filtering or fining for 11 years (the so-called 'Stocker method')." Decanter
"This is a careful expression of Pinot Bianco from steep vineyards at 550 to 600 meters in elevation, with 30% to 50% inclines. The 2010 Alto Adige Terlano Pinot Bianco Rarity is a gorgeous wine that, despite its many years of age, tastes remarkably fresh and primary. The aromas are on the reduced side, and this bodes well for future evolution. The complexity of the bouquet is underlined by candied apricot, star fruit, sour cream and green curry. To those aromas, I would add topical accents of guava or green papaya that play into the natural freshness of this generous, mid-weight white. This is a stellar wine (with only 3,500 bottles made)." Limitation of 1 articles per customer“Riserva del Fondatore Giulio Ferrari” Metodo Classico Trento DOC 2010 extra brut
Cult sparkling wine named after the founder of the winery: bright, luminous yellow colour, lively, fine mousse. The bouquet is inviting, with fine yeasty nuances and subtle grapefruit and citrus tones. Lots of substance on the palate, beautiful creamy texture, very elegant and underlaid with a fine citrus note. The fresh structure and harmonious, long, slightly salty finish are wonderfully stimulating. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant, bright light gold colour. On the nose, initially light malt, sea salt, candied lemon, fine herbs, candied ginger, roasted hazelnut, cold smoke. On the palate with clear fruit and present perlage, with a polished centre, very juicy, salty, with a lot of energy, shows good pressure on the palate, long, keeps coming back." Falstaff
"The 2010 Trentodoc Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore is an understated beauty, enticing with a delicate blend of white flowers and nectarine complemented by chamomile and candied lime. It’s soothingly round with a silken wave of fine bubbles and tart orchard fruits enlivened by vibrant acidity. The 2010 finishes with medium length and potent, leaving a bitter lemon zest twang and hints of brown spice to fade." Vinous
"On the nose, aromas of white spring flowers, bread crust, roasted nuts and orange peel. Smooth and elegantly structured, the palate shows the complexity of age and the freshness of a younger wine, with ripe yellow apples, pears, mineral flint and hazelnuts, framed by a refined, continuous perlage. The fresh acidity keeps it concentrated and precise." Wine Enthusiast

Limitation of 2 articles per customer“La Fabriseria” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG 2015
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico La Fabriseria shows itself massive and with seductive complexity. Deep bouquet of black berries and cocoa, violets and lavender. The taste is immensely fruity with aromas of cherry, blackberry and wild berry, plus the invigorating impressions of medicinal herbs again and again. The finish is elegant and long with a fine sweetness and a hint of mint. For us, one of the greatest wines of the Valpolicella! SUPERIORE.DE
"Powerful, bright ruby. Very clear and intense nose, full of dark currant sweets, dark cherry juice, spicy honey and some resin in the background. Dense and full-bodied in the attack and course, shows a lot of grippy, dense tannin, flows clearly and calmly, dark pepper in the finish, very much Storage potential." Falstaff
"A pure beam of crème de cassis and baked black cherries is accented by an enticing palette of sandalwood, liquorice and Earl Grey tea leaf notes in this fine-mesh, medium to full-bodied red. Long and delicious, with a rich hint of fig cake and a touch of mineral iron on the slightly chewy finish." Wine Spectator
"In the glass, aromas of crushed violet, baked plum, underbrush and new leather combine. The palate is velvety and densely concentrated, offering delicious raspberry jam, soaked plums and baking spices before finishing with a tobaccoic finish. Despite its big, bold structure, it has refined tannins that support and polish it seamlessly." Wine Enthusiast
"Sumptuous notes of balsamic, mint, dried thyme, kirsch and mountain herb. A raft of tannins doused with dried tobacco leaf and clove, compress the fruit as much as promote it. The thick-skinned oseleta is in the blend, contributing immensely to the firm structural lattice. Drive, power and length, with no dearth of freshness. Excellent Amarone for those seeking power as much as freshness. This has a very traditional, savoury air to it. One glass is not quite sufficient in this case." James Suckling
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva La Fabriseria 2015 trades power for elegance and feminine beauty. Notes of mineral ripe cherries, currants, sage and cocoa gain volume and depth with time in the glass. The wine is seamless and silky, gliding over a core of lively acids, with juicy red and black fruits giving way to sweet spices and pretty flowers. A bitter hint of coffee and spicy herbal notes combine with tart blackberries and linger for well over a minute. This is just great." Vinous
"The Tedeschi family's top wine is their 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva la Fabriseria. The wine is a careful blend of 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta, all aged in oak for 48 months. The appassimento process has produced a powerful and muscular wine that opens with thick layers of black fruits, plums, dried cherries, spices, mesquite smoke, iron and sweet rum cake. With only 2,500 bottles made, this full-bodied blockbuster wine is a lesson in all the beautiful excesses that extreme Amarone has to offer." Wine Advocate

Brunello di Montalcino “Vigna del Suolo” DOCG 2018
The grapes for the "Suolo" Brunello selection come from the vineyard of the same name and from the estate's oldest vines. They lie at an altitude of 320 metres on soils of clay-limestone marl rich in skeletons and fossils. It is the ideal terroir to fully express the character of the old Sangiovese Grosso clones and gives the wine an acidic, spicy profile. Only part of the vineyard parcels are used for this label. Long ageing in 15-hectolitre Allier oak barrels and a resting period in the bottle complete it and prepare it for the market and the challenge of time. Around 5,000 bottles are bottled only in the best vintages.
The wine announces itself with a deep ruby red colour and opens with a seductive bouquet in which ripe cherries and small fruits give way to more complex notes of tobacco, flowers and undergrowth, before fading into spice and citrus peel. The palate is broad, deep and crisp, supported by a rich acidic framework that carries intact fruit and tannins of spectacular finesse. Rich but not too dense, it is assertive, profound and elegant, with an exceptional vitality that promises glorious ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, shiny ruby red colour with a delicately brightening rim. Expressive and clear on the nose of fresh wild strawberries, mint, precious wood, dried tomato, underpinned by light spice and maquis. On the palate with a polished entry and progression, builds up fleshy and juicy, with elegant pressure, profound and elegant, in the final on noble earthy notes, will mature excellently." Falstaff
"The Argiano 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo (5,000 bottles) shows good fruit richness with cherry, dried raspberry and plum. The tannins are silky and fine, and the wine envelops the palate with a medium-weight texture and balanced freshness." Wine Advocate
"Argiano is back on track with this 2018 Brunello at an excellent price. Packed with flavour, it shows the vintage well: while the colour is scarce - pale garnet - the aromas are vibrant and enticing with spiced cherry and Mediterranean flowers bursting from the glass. It is medium-bodied and fluid, revealing the warm southern exposure of the vineyards. The tannins are fine and layered, with a chalky texture. Although the winery has released its Vigna del Suolo selection, there will be no Riserva bottling for 2018." Decanter
"The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo is seductive and understated in the glass, showing musky blackcurrant flavours accompanied by hints of sage and clove. It is graceful and refined, yet enveloping, with bright acidity enlivening the red plums and ripe strawberries, while a hint of balsamic spice resonates. The 2018 finishes with grippy tension as the fine tannins penetrate deeply, leaving notes of dried cherry and lavender that slowly fade away. The Vigna del Suolo will need patience to fully unfold and develop its flavours. But it will be worth the wait. This is a beauty." Decanter
"A very fine and polished Brunello with fine, creamy tannins that are polished and very curated. Character of cherry and bark. Medium to full body with ripe tannins. Juicy. Orange peel flavours. Try it after 2025, but it's delicious now." James Suckling
"This supple, clean-lined red grabs your attention with a beam of cherry and blackcurrant flavours, while lacy tannins line the finish. It shows flavours of earth, menthol, white pepper and juicy red berries that are expressive and delicious. Super long finish." Wine Spectator
"An essential part of Ilcine history, a wine that is the result of Bernardino Sani's great zoning work. Multi-faceted on the nose, with notes of wild plum, pepper leaf and star anise. Exciting and flavoursome on the palate, with a fruity finish." Luca Gardini
"A sweet, floral nose welcomes you with a warm embrace of vanilla and cherry before an earthy savoriness surprises you with notes of soil, leather, sun-dried tomato and oregano. The tomatoes sweeten on the palate joined by cherries and chili heat before a saline finish. A wine that defines itself with fruit so alive you could take its pulse, and contoured, seductive tannins." Wine Enthusiast

The name "Vineyard of the Soil" says it all: opens with warm, earthy notes, the fruit emerges in a second wave with dried raspberries, cassis and dried cherries. The theme of earthiness runs through the entire experience and is also evoked by the powdery dryness of the tannins. There are many flavours lurking in this textured, full-bodied Brunello, including orange, mint and a hint of salty sea air. A very special and highly elegant wine that certainly needs some time in the bottle to gain depth and volume. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby-garnet colour with a brightening rim. Charming and inviting nose of fresh wild raspberries and ripe cherries, along with pomegranate and tobacco. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate, again cherry and raspberry, then opens up with lots of fine-meshed, present tannins, very good tension and a long finish." Falstaff
"This wine will really come into its own with the 2019 vintage. Intoxicatingly fragrant, it offers notes of mint, fennel and tarragon infusing dark cherry and plum. Not big, but lush and expansive, a sense of baked stone underpins the deliciously tart sour cherry centre. Silky, suede-like tannins are graceful in their draw, while the acidity cleanses the mouth and is crisp. An explosion of apricot pits and juicy minerals prolong the finish." Decanter
"The dark Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo 2019 exudes a hint of cocoa, violet pastille and sweet sage, which complements redcurrants. Like pure velvet, the Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo slowly spreads across the palate, weighty and youthfully dense, with an abundance of mineral, dark red fruits that swirl over a steadily building wall of fine tannins. The 2019 finishes with enormous length and structure and shows fantastic balance. A hint of residual acidity refreshes the senses and balsamic herbs slowly fade away. This is a Vigna del Suolo that is made to last." Vinous
"The Argiano 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo has an elegant, ever-changing bouquet of black fruits and a pronounced mineral signature of dusty slate and gravel. This site with 63-year-old vines is located on the picturesque cypress-lined gravel road that leads to this imposing castello (one of the greatest architectural works of Italian wine). The bouquet unfolds with tobacco leaves, lime leaves, balsamic herbs, exotic spices and a particularly fresh berry fruit that is on the verge of over-ripeness. The fruit tastes sweet, but in a delicate way, and the tannins are elegant with a dryness that is not exaggerated. This is a very nice wine." Wine Advocate
"Plenty of dark fruit flavours of black cherries, blackberries and dried herbs, followed by dried meat and sweetish tobacco notes. Medium-bodied with crisp, fine-grained tannins and strong acidity. Very precise and dense, yet beautifully balanced and savoury. Great ageing potential." James Suckling
"Iron, mineral and wild herb aromas and flavors frame the cherry and raspberry fruit in this sleek, racy red, which is harmonious and full of energy, with a long aftertaste driven by the firm structure and bracing acidity, as well as flint and stone elements. This is special." Wine Spectator

The grapes for Guido Berlucchi's prestige product Franco Ziliani come from the best parts of the Arzelle vineyard, which is sustainably cultivated with a very high density of 10,000 plants per hectare using the Guyot system. The vineyard consists of deep moraine soils that produce grapes for excellently structured Chardonnay base wines. Just 5,000 0.75-litre bottles and 863 magnum bottles were bottled from the 2008 vintage, which then matured on the lees for 140 months.
Intense straw yellow with lively golden reflections. A rich mousse, persistent crown and very fine perlage in the glass. On the nose, it has a complex, multi-layered aroma of yellow-fleshed fruit, pastries and candied orange. This wine monument from three of the best wineries in the region (Caiarossa, Duemani and Tenuta Prima Pietra) is a tribute to the Tuscan coastal town of Riparbella. Caiarossa contributed the Cabernet Sauvignon, Duemani the Cabernet Franc and Prima Pietra the Merlot. Intense and inky in the glass, initially restrained nose. Lots of meatiness and juiciness on the palate and a ripe, very complex flavour that is softened by the spicy French oak. Round and very polished tannins lead into a flavourful finish. Celebrate this wine (only 3,000 bottles are produced each year) and the province of Pisa with a wild boar in red wine sauce, typical of the region! SUPERIORE.DE
