“Aurora” Greco del Sannio DOP 2022
Greco del Sannio from Terre Stregate - as clear and bright as the Northern Lights. Smells irresistibly of yellow, tropical fruit. Full-bodied, soft and round on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense straw yellow colour with a golden shimmer. Ripe yellow apple and some liquorice on the nose. Fruity and tangy on the palate, starts with lots of fruit, more flavour towards the end, refreshing acidity, medium-long finish." Falstaff
"Deep straw with a golden tinge. Rich, ripe pear, rhubarb-compote and satsuma nose with notes of lemon curd. Tropical fruit and ripe lemon on the palate. Long, viscous and with acidity on the finish." Jancis Robinson
"Wet rock and chalk dust give way to crushed yellow apples as the 2022 Greco Sannio Aurora opens in the glass. It flows in silky waves across the palate, with a contrasting mix of ripe orchard fruit and savoury minerals under a hint of sweet inner petals. A crisp sensation lingers on the finish as notes of lime zest and sour melon slowly fade." Vinous

“Daltavilla” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
The Greco di Tufo has an intense and persistent aroma of white peach, apricot, almond oil and citrus with restrained mineral notes. The flavour is powerful, fresh and rich. A wine with character and strong typicity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fresh and limey citrus with a hint of seashell minerality and green apples. Simple but bone-dry and fresh on the palate, with a lovely phenolic note and a chalky finish. Drink now." James Suckling
"The Villa Matilde Avallone 2022 Greco di Tufo Tenuta Pietrafusa Daltavilla is a pretty wine that shows the character and clarity of the Greco grape, here lightly complemented by gentle notes of apple, pear and exotic vanilla from a hot vintage. It offers a medium richness and good creaminess with plenty of mineral sensations and a fresh acidity that rounds out the wine." Wine Advocate

“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant minerality so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the ticket for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Made only in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous aromas of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The wine's mineral signature is very developed." Wine Advocate

“Novaserra” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
Generous bouquet of yellow peaches and aniseed. Ripe, yet incredibly fresh fruit on the palate, very harmonious and varied. The long final reveals a mineral note as well as a delicate hint of caramel, a very nice interpretation of a Greco di Tufo. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Greco di Tufo NovaSerra 2022 shows a very precise and linear personality with gravel, white melon and green apple flavours. The growing season was very hot, and fruit selection was key to maintaining quality here and elsewhere in the region. NovaSerra also shows sweet flowers and a hint of jasmine." Wine Advocate
"This sleek, minerally white offers hints of grilled macadamia nut, which underscore and enrich a finely meshed flavor profile of tangerine, persimmon and chamomile. Racy finish." Wine Spectator
"A very savoury nose of crisp leather and mixed spices and herbs is lifted by undertones of dandelion and lemon. The lemon current becomes a river on the palate, but a lingering, slightly savoury earthiness keeps you on your toes until a sweet iced tea finish." Wine Enthusiast
"Aromas of matchsticks and pumice with a hint of white pepper. Almonds, sliced apples and limes. Medium body, creamy texture and a soft, fresh finish. You can really taste the volcanic soil." James Suckling

“Alèxandros” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
Alexandros is a beautifully complex and expressive white from Campania. The aromas of light stone fruit, flowers and a fine minerality come together in the harmonious bouquet. Crisp clean taste with a fresh finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Alexandros is remarkably beautiful in the glass. An unobtrusive blend of young peach, melon and sweet smoke forms its bouquet. A lively acidity and mineral tones complete the ripe fruit that washes over the palate. The 2022 finishes fresh and medium-length, with lingering notes of candied lime." Vinous
"Vinosity, the highlight. Apricot peel, canned peach, nectarine pulp, tamarind and quince paste. The mid palate, powerful and thoroughly convincing. This is a fine Greco, even in the context of the vintage. It rides a wave of quince paste phenomena as well as the underlying touch of freshness." James Suckling

“Core” Bianco Campania IGT 2022
Wonderful cuvée of Greco and Fiano. An opulent potpourri of passion fruit, peach and honeydew melon on the nose. Not too heavy on the palate, but rather prancing and elegant with a wonderfully fresh structure. Beautiful balance, complex and full-bodied finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Here's a fun and versatile unoaked white to bring chilled to an outdoor lunch. A blend of equal parts Fiano and Greco, the Montevetrano 2022 Core Bianco carries a slender approach with enough texture to support fragrant apple, honey and white currant. The wine's aromatic range is very pretty, and the best part is the salty or mineral end note that gives a spark of energy." Wine Advocate

“DUBL EDITION 1 BIANCO” Metodo Classico VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 2 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate then powerful, fresh, with beautiful spice and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. SUPERIORE.DE
"Complex nose with aromas to sweet lemons, apples, chamomile, grapefruit and toasted notes. Dry on the palate, vibrant and crisp." Decanter
"This is a cuvée of Greco and Falanghina aged on the lees for 36 months. The sparkling Feudi di San Gregorio NV Dubl Edition I Brut will be released in March 2023. This wonderfully sparkling and fresh wine displays a fine and sharp perlage with pomelo fruit, bitter almond and white peach." Wine Advocate

On the palate, powerful, fresh, with a nice spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. “Stilèma” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2018
"The Stilèma project was born as a testimony of Antonio Mastroberardino's love for his land, his vines and his wines, for their original character." Piero Mastroberardino
The project aims to highlight the link between the vines, the wines and their territorial origins. In this way, the Mastroberardino family wants to recreate the style of winemaking of the autochthonous grape varieties of Irpinia (Greco, Fiano and Aglianico) that took place between the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 1970s of the twentieth century for the Taurasi and between the years 1970 and 1980 for the two white wines from Irpinia. It is the unmistakable style (the stilèma) of a family that has interpreted the natural heritage of its territory over generations and today impressively highlights the genuine character of the terroir, which by no means can be expressed by high concentration and intensity alone.
Stilèma Greco di Tufo Riserva is a blend of grapes from the Montefusco, Tufo and Petruro Irpino vineyards. During the cellar processes, special attention was paid to the malolactic fermentation and the ageing phase, which give the wine density and consistency. Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit, lychee and grapefruit, yellow flowers, dried fruit and figs. Powerful but agile taste with a pronounced salty note, accompanied by a surprising freshness that gives it drinkability and finesse. It closes with a subtle and long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich straw yellow with greenish reflections. In the nose of tropical fruits, lychee and grapefruit, in the aftertaste iodine, flint and slightly herbal, very complex. On the palate filigree, very salty and fresh, drinky, with draught, long and mineral final." Falstaff
"The 2018 Greco di Tufo Riserva Stilèma is rich and sweet-smelling, captivating with a tropical blend of green melon and exotic flowers. On the palate, it flows with a medium-heavy texture that feels silky and shows mineral fruit and savoury spices. The 2018 finishes with admirable depth and concentration, ending with a saline feel and notes of lime and liquid stones. While enjoyable, this wine is still very young and needs further ageing to reveal its hidden charms." Vinous
"Peachy piney notes at the start, evolving into more pronounced notes of fresh white grapes, yellow peaches and minerals on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, bright and concentrated. An interesting and refined Greco." James Suckling
"Here is a new wine from Mastroberardino, and what a charming beauty it is. The 2018 Greco di Tufo Riserva Stiléma takes advantage of the new "Riserva" status and offers us a glimpse into the age-worthiness of Greco. It is a white wine with a soft texture and medium-weight approach. The bouquet shows a filigree of lemon curd, pastry cream, saffron and wet stone." Wine Advocate

The Greek on tuff rock. This is how this DOCG white wine from Campania is often explained. Whether the grapes actually came into the country with the Greeks is not really proven, however, there are also suspicions that Greco could descend from the ancient Roman main variety Aminea. The DOCG must be made from a minimum of 85% grapes of the Greco or Greco di Tufo variety and a maximum of 15% of the ancient Coda di Volpe Bianca grapes, which are also autochthonous.
The Italian white wine Greco di Tufo smells wonderfully intense of peaches and apricots, herbs and spices. The volcanic tuff rock is said to have aromas of almond oil and aniseed. Greco di Tufo is also available in very small quantities as a spumante in the Metodo Classico, i.e. with bottle fermentation and as a variant called Aversa, where the grape is referred to as Asprinio and in the traditional form of cultivation. "Alberata Aversana" can be pulled up to ten meters on trees.
Greco di Tufo is a universal food companion, which harmonises wonderfully with seafood, especially mussels. SUPERIORE.DE
