Miele di Spiaggia - Strandhonig (BIO)

      Tenuta di Valgiano | Tuscany

There's honey ... and there's "beach honey" from Tenuta di Valgiano. Forget what you knew or thought about honey until now. The bees on the beach west of Lucca bring every year small quantities of a honey into the world, which is so delicious that it was called "Ambrosia", the nectar of the gods.

The beach Lecciona is part of the natural parks Migliarino San Rossore and Massaciuccoli. Here the thyrrean waters wash the dunes and the sand. It is the same sea that positively influences the climate in the vineyards of Valgiano. On the dunes by the sea, between the pine forest and the shore, the bees live and enjoy the flowers of the Mediterranean scrub and the Helicrysium meadows, which extend almost to the shore and give the honey a unique aroma.

This honey is truly unique, valuable and very rare (and of course BIO certified). In 2015 it was harvested for the very first time and gently processed - and always only in homeopathic quantities, so that the bees continue to supply more and more. On the palate it is beguilingly sweet, but also wild, smelling of lovage, with notes of liquorice and intense curry aroma. A real rarity with addictive potential. SUPERIORE.DE
