Andrea Cortonesi, dessen Familie in Castelnuovo dell’Abate verwurzelt ist, konnte dort 1986 ein Bauernhaus mit Grundstück erwerben und so die Tradition fortsetzen. Die natürliche Eignung des Bodens für den Anbau von Wein und Olivenbäume zusammen mit seinem unternehmerischen Geist halfen, den neu erworbenen Besitz in einen vorwiegend dem Weinbau gewidmeten Landwirtschaftsbetrieb zu verwandeln. Der ursprüngliche Name "Uccelliera" (Vogelhaus) wurde beibehalten. Die Weingärten erstrecken sich über sechs Hektar. Sie sind mit Reben eines ausgewählten Klons und erhöhter Pflanzdichte bestockt. Die Ausrichtung der Reihen, die sorgfältige Handarbeit im Weinberg sowie das Ausdünnen der Trauben ermöglichen perfekt gereifte, aromareiche Beeren - unabdingbare Voraussetzung für ausgewogene, gut strukturierte Weine.
